It has been a month since I've joined the survey corps. It's always been the dream of my mother and father but they couldn't make it... I made it. For them. I'm proud to be where I have gotten so far. But of course, there's a slight problem with me getting here. I was moved into Corporal Levi's Special Operations Squad with obviously Levi, (duh) Petra, Oluo, Eld, Gunther, and my childhood best friend Eren. I've always loved Eren. Don't get me wrong it's mostly as a brother but I'm not sure anymore.
He was sweet and kind to me and made me feel happy, however someone else made my heart skip a beat when I saw them... Which of course... Was commander Erwin. (Jokes) which of course... Was Captain Levi. 

It's not like I ever wanted this to happen. I never wanted to FIND love, let alone fall for someone. It would over complicate things drastically on the battlefield! What if they were to die? It would kill me, and even damage how I would think, and my reaction times to the Titans that are surrounding the place. What if I would die? Would it do the same to my love? I'm a soldier. I shouldn't fall in love, let alone with my higher in command. Especially not with Levi. Levi needs to focus on his work, he is humanities strongest, my affection and him getting attached, would surely be painful. 

I checked the time as it read 5:24 am, I had spent too long sitting up in the cold room and thinking, so I decided to take a shower, before heading towards the mess hall for breakfast. 

As per usual, I was one of the first in the room, besides Levi, Eren and Mikasa.

"Eren! Mikasa!" I yell towards my best friends,
"(Y/N)! How has your morning been so far?" Eren said as Mikasa smiled slightly towards you.
After a few minutes of meaningless, but a heartfelt conversation between my best friends and I, it quickly turned into tens of minutes before the others finally decided to join. Slowly, but one by one, we were joined by, Connie, Sasha, Marco, Jean, Ymir, Annie and Armin. Of course, as I was eating Sasha lent her head on my shoulder and begged for the last of my bread, I gave it to her to make her happy and smiled at her whilst her eyes widened with happiness, shoving the bread down her throat.

I'm still amazed she can eat so quickly without choking. 

Not too much later, an excited looking Hanji opened the doors; she has the usual glistening in her eye. The one she showed when she was scheming.

"CADETS!" She announced, grabbing everyone's attention, "I have good news! We are going to have a party! Tonight! Right here! And everyone has to be dressed fancy," She pauses, smirking as she gave a quick glance to Levi, "AND have a date." 

Why would she give that sort of glance to Levi? My heart begins to drop- yeah I get that she's a higher up, and she's definitely not a cadet. But it still really sucks, especially considering I do genuinely really like him, and that she just looked at him like that, you know, in my face. 

There was a mixture of 'woos', 'boos', and swirls given off by different people, I was one that was booing.
"Tch," I see Levi say, standing up from his seat, "hurry up. We have training to do." He said before leaving he room, to his office where his 'secret tea stash' is, no doubt. I sigh contently at how adorable his 'little' addictions are. (No pun intended).

I was tired. Everyone was tired. Levi had been training extra hard today and it was like hell. After lunch, it was said that cadets shall be cleaning, great. Even more standing up. So that's what's happening I guess, however it was still almost time for the party. The majority of me is dreading it, but there is a tiny portion that is full of hope in the slightest chance that Levi will ask me.
