I woke up and Aurora wasn't there. I jumped out of the bed and ran downstairs to the kitchen hoping she was there. Luckily she was eating. I slowly returned to my room and decided to take a shower. I stripped and then hopped in the shower.

After I got out I walked to my closet and saw a pear of running shoes and I remembered I haven't done that in a while. So I decided to go for a run. I put on a pear of black jogging leggings, a pink sports bra and a purple jacket. Then I picked a pear of pink shoes. I searched for my ipod and headphones and went downstairs.

"Elizabeth, I'm going for a run." I screamed. As I was approaching the door Elizabeth came running to me.

"What?" She asked concerned.

"I'm going for a run." I answered.

"Where?" She asked.

"Outside...?" I sort of answered. What was up with her?

"Fine." She took a deep breath "Don't go farther than the lake."

I nodded.

"Isn't it a little cold for running?" She asked.

"That's what the jacket's for." I answered sarcastically.

"Ok..." She smiled.

I went outside and I felt the cold air hit my face. I shook the cold feeling off and started running. I headed for the forest that leaded to the lake.

I ran a while and I saw the lake. I finally reached the lake and I took a seat on the shore. And took a deep breath.

"Morning." I heard a voice behind me.

I turned my head and saw a guy behind me. He seemed about my age. "Morning." I smiled.

He took a seat next to me. "What are you doing here?" he asked me.

"I came for a run. What about you?" I asked.

"Practicing." he answered simply.

"Practicing what? If you don't mind me asking."

"Magic." he smiled at me.

"That's awesome!"

"Aren't you gonna run scared from me?" he asked surprised.

"No. Am I supposed to?"

"Well most people think about danger and evil when they hear about magic. They are afraid I might kill them so they run away."

"Well, I think it's cool. Can I ask you something?" I asked after a few minutes of silence.

"Ask me." he said.

"What's there?" I asked pointing to the forest that was beyond the lake.

"A forest..." he answered obviously hiding something.

"No shit! Seriously! What's so special about it?" I asked.

"What do you mean 'special'?" he asked.

"I mean I was forbidden from going in there and I wanna know why."

"The only thing you should know is that you can't go in there! Okay?" he said a bit concerned.

"If you won't tell me I'll find out for myself." after I said that I got on my feet and headed for the forest. I was a few steps from the forest when I felt a hand grabbing mine. I stopped and smiled for myself knowing I will get my answer. I turned around and saw the boy that I was talking to before... I didn't know his name... Great!

"Fine, I'll tell you, just don't do this again!" he pulled my hand and sat me down back on the shore. "First my name is Robert."

"I'm Ariana." i smiled. "Tell me!" I shouted.

"Ok, it's full of dark magic. Anything there can kill you if you're not strong enough."

"And how do you know if you're strong enough?"

"From all I know very few people are able to get in there. I heard that it calls you or something like that..."

"It calls you?"

"Yeah... I don't know..." he says looking at the forest.

"I want to go in there." I said very fascinated about it.

"Me too. But people say that you are lucky if it doesn't want to."

"I should probably head back home... my mom will be worried." I said checking the time.

"Yeah, me too. My dad will freak..." we both got up.

"It was nice meeting you." I said.

"Hey! You're new here, aren't you?" he asked me.

"Yep. I arrived a few days ago, why?"

"I just haven't seen you before. Where did you live before?"

"Canada..." I said hoping he's heard of it.

"So you're from the outer-land? That means you're royal?!"

"Depending what you mean by royal."

"Are you the daughter of the queen?"

"Aham..." I smiled and headed back to the castle.
