Tris
As I speak infront, I see a little, curly, brown haired boy at the very back row. Sitting alone and not paying attention to me. I think he is reading a book. I can't help it but to stare at him. After standing and introducing my awkward self infront of people I do not know, our teacher, Ms. Smith smilingly welcomed me "Tristan moved here in our city recently with his mum, and our school has always been welcoming to students who are eager to learn even though it is the middle of the school year. Tristan is a new addition to your class, I hope all of you will treat him like you treat each others. Welcome to Lakeshore Highschool Tristan!" She said infront of the class. As soon as she finished introducing me, she asked me to sit on a vacant armchair on the very back row. I'm glad she asked me to sit beside the curly haired boy. I kinda pity him for sitting alone in his row. I walk my way to the back with my head down, avoiding eye contact with my new classmates. I really find it hard to socialize, especially right now when you're the new kid and your life story is a shit.

As I make my way through the aisle, I can hear whispering "Oh my god he's freakishly tall" "Holy shit he's blond!" "Wow those legs are so skinny" I try to ignore them by walking faster than normal even though they sound like buzzing bees on my ears. Finally I reached the empty armchair after walking down the aisle for like an eternity. I slowly take my seat beside the curly haired boy. He is still busy reading a book, math book to be precise. Actually, the chair is not empty, it is covered with dust and doodles made by god knows who. Looks like the curly boy does not have a seatmate from the start of the school year, well now he has one. I sat on the chair beside the curly and he is still not noticing me. Can't really tell if I am invisible to him or he is just really busy reading that damn math book, he's like in a different world. After settling down, Ms. Smith started her lesson. "Okay class, commercial is now over. Kindly get your math text book and review chaper fourteen, it's quiz time!" I love math, I understand math... But someone caught my attention. I still can't resist looking at him, he's like a little angel sitting on my left side.

Brad
Before going to class today, I woke up on my bed with a severe pain in my head. I pull my hair with my hands trying to ease the excruciating pain. I scream in agony as my mum hurridly ran to my room. Tears invaded my eyes as the pain continues to dominate my head. My mum rubs my back to comfort me as I weep on her lap "Shhhhh, Brad do you want me to call an ambulance?" She said to me. "No! I have a math quiz today, I cannot miss it mum. I'll be alright, I'm just gonna take my meds." I replied as she continues to comfort me. I hate waking up to this kind of morning, my head feels like its going to explode. After that, my mum pulled me up out of my bed and grabbed me by the waist as she helps me to go downstairs. I sat down on a wooden chair. My blurry vision is getting worse than I thought as I gulp seven medication pills prescribed by my doctor, Mr. Clifford. Speaking of, I have to visit him again this week for my month check up. Being diagnosed with cancer is not easy, drugs, doctor appointments, pain and the fear of dying are too much to handle.

Today in class I decided to wear a black Aero jacket that's two times bigger than me. I like jackets that are too big for me, it makes me feel protected and comfortable. I sat on my armchair and settled down. I reached for my math book on my bag to refresh my shitty mind with the lesson we're having a quiz today. I try to concentrate studying ahead of time but Ms. Smith keeps on talking infront. I heard her say that we have a new addition to the class. I didn't pay attention to the new student, I just kept my eyes on my text book. Ms. Smith really caught my attention when she said that the new kid can sit right next to me. What the hell did she do that? Don't get me wrong, I love Ms. Smith but I don't get her letting a new kid sit next to me. I asked her at the start of the school year if I can sit alone at the row in the back, she agreed. And now she's letting a stranger to sit beside me, and he is a BOY.
