SUMMER.
Brad
Five months after my operation, a lot of things happened. Tris' dad had gotten out of the rehab, while his mum quit her job at the diner and started her own cooking business. My mum established her own craft store which half of the income is being donated to brain cancer patients. James was sentenced to life imprisonment for attempted rape and for killing Dr. Clifford. Connor and Celia are both happy, and is now both working on a big and prominent hospital as nurses (yep Connor is a nurse too). We visited his grandparents together with Ms. Evans. I'm glad they were reunited finally.
Here I am with Tristan, sitting on a field covered with the rich color of green grass and beautiful flowers that are bloomed perfectly. The last time we were here, I was battling with my brain cancer... Little did I know that we will be sitting here again, on this very same spot and this time, I'm cancer free. Free from the worries, free from fears, free from possible death. The sun is almost setting, a splash of orange and pink colors are painted in the heavenly skies. This is what I needed... After months of being a slave of the coldest season of the year, summer warmth freed me from the shivering shackles of winter. Tristan on the other hand, has been always sick lately... Maybe because of summer fever or allergies?
"Baby... I-I'm cold..."
I wrapped my little arms around him for warmth. A bit odd, it's summer but he feels so chilly. Tristan became weaker than his usual energy. His body has became skinnier and his skin paler. I told him that we should see a Doctor but he insisted. He said that its only a simple fever or ache. I can't stand seeing him like that, it breaks my heart into million pieces. Nevertheless, here we are enjoying the sunset. I lay my head on Tris's chest as we stare into the aesthetical view.
"You okay love?"
I stared directly into his deep blue ocean eyes.
"Ofcourse Bradley bear"
He replied pinching my cheeks. I wish moments like this would last forever, I can't imagine my life without my Tristan. After sundown me and Tris went to his apartment. We went to his room, his bed neatly fixed with new sheets. He opened up the panel on the ceiling, exposing the bed of stars above. We laid together and I rest my head on his chest as he slowly breathes.
"They're so bright tonight love"
Tristan said to me while playing my with my curls. P.S I'm lucky that my hair was not cut off by a couple of radiations and chemotherapies. All of a sudden,
Tristan stood and reached for his phone on the nightstand. He dialed a number, I tried taking a glance on who is he calling but he quickly jerked away from me."NOW CONNOR!"
He shouted over the phone. Unexpectedly, Connor filled my sight as he peeped on the panel grinning.
"GOOD LUCK AND BEST WISHES MATE!"
The small blonde happily drops a small item attached with a parachute. Trissy stood from the bed and held out his hands, catching the small object.
"THANKS CONDOR!"
He grasped my little wrists and pulled me out of the bed. The small object is actually a red box with a toy soldier fastened on top of it. Tristan removed the parachute dangling from it, he kneeled infront of me. My brows wrinkled in confusion as blood roses up from my head.
