Stand still

Liz and I made it back to the house about 20 mins after we left the cave. I opened the door and she sprinted right past me and up the stairs. I laughed a bit and closed the door behind me. I stretched a little bit and made my way to the kitchen. I saw Michelle in the kitchen and i tried my best to act like i didn't. I walked to the fridge and swung the door open softly. I rummaged through the fridge as quietly as i could so as to not catch her attention. So far so good. I was trying to look for a chocolate bar that i hid in there and i grabbed a couple of waters for Liz and I. I found the chocolate, but when i pulled it out a few of the glass jars shifted and hit each other. I winced as i hit my head on the top of the fridge. I mumbled under my breath. I looked up and i saw her looking at me. "Fuck.." I said under my breath as i closed the fridge and looked back. She smiled at me. The same devilish smile from that day. 

I stumbled backwards and caught myself on the wall as i let out the most awkward laugh. I sort of half waved and took off upstairs to my room. I ended up going to Liz's. I opened the door and closed it immediately. "What the heck is wrong with you?" Liz asked laying on her bed. I laid next to her and sighed. "Michelle was in the kitchen and i almost shit myself." I say as i hand her one of the water bottles. Liz looked at me. "Did she say anything?" She asked drinking some of the water. I shook my head as i opened the chocolate bar, "No she didn't, but she smiled this devilish smile. Like the one from that day." I broke the candy bar in half and handed her a piece. I sighed as i shifted onto my right side. I was now facing Liz. "Do you think she's gonna do anything?" She asked me as she watched me and took a bite of the candy bar. 

I shrugged and took a bite from mine. "Do you want her too?" She asked. I nodded my head while i ate my candy just looking at Liz. She patted my head and I just laid there with her. We were both tired from being out that long and we just felt like laying around for a while. We finished our chocolate and she yawned. "You should take a nap." I said as i sit up. She grabbed my shirt and said with the most serious face, "Only if you lay here until i fall asleep." I smiled and replied, "Yea alright i'll stay." I laid back down and covered her as i faced her. She looked at me. Her soft brown eyes watching my silky green ones. "It'll be okay." She whispered as she slowly drifted off to sleep. I hummed at how content i was in this moment. Even after it all there are things still worth everything. I closed my eyes for a few seconds and before i knew it I was asleep too.

I woke up an hour later and twitched a bit. I rubbed my eyes and looked at Liz. She was still asleep now facing the other way. I smiled and got up. I leaned back and stretched out. That was honestly one of the best naps i have ever taken. I left Liz's room and went to mine. I left the door open because i was only going to go in and grab some clothes so i could shower. I picked out what i wanted to wear and i headed towards the bathroom. I wasn't paying attention to whether or not the light was on. I opened the door and as soon as i looked up i saw Michelle. She was naked and barely getting out of the shower. My face heated up and i turned around to face the door. God help me please. I tried to calm my breathing. "S-sorry... I...I'll leave." I manage to choke out as i reach for the doorknob. I feel her hand slide over mine and her body inches away. I gasp as i stay still shaking a little bit. "Do I really make you that nervous?" She whispered into my ear. 

I shivered and got goosebumps from head to toe. I rolled my neck at the sound of her voice and i tried to reply, "Y-yes." I could feel that she smiled. Before i could even swallow i was turned around. She had me facing her now as she pinned me up against the bathroom door. My breathing was way uneven and i sort of whimpered. She looked at me and very slowly traced her finger against the lining of my pants. I shivered some more and looked at her. Her soft honey gold eyes looked straight at me. I couldn't look away. I was so mesmerized by her. She is so beautiful. I loosely shook my hands for her to let go. She did. I looked away and then i looked her up and down slowly. I lifted my hands as if to touch the outlines of her body. I could feel her eyes watching. Waiting. I hesitated and she grabbed my hands. I looked up at her and she hummed. She gently placed my hands on her stomach and let go. I breathed slowly as i traced her body with my hands. It was still a bit wet from the shower she had just taken, but that didn't stop me from wanting to familiarize myself with every inch of her beautiful body.

I could feel her breath getting caught every time i moved my hands to a new area. I looked back up at her and saw the disorientation in her face. I smiled softly and moved my hands up to her face. Her breathing was uneven and i slowly pull her face towards mine. I move my arms again and wrap them around her neck. Her lips were inches away from mine and i could feel her arms wrap around my waist. I breathed in slowly and her lips met mine. The kiss was slow and passionate. Her lips seemed to fit perfectly against mine. She pushed me up against the door softly. Her toned, wet naked body pressed against mine as she pulled away softly. "I sh-should get.. dressed," she whispered against my lips. My eyes were still closed and i nodded slowly before kissing her again. I could feel her smile against my lips as she kissed me back. I pulled away and let her go. 

I watched her get dressed slowly. "You should shower." She says as she kisses my nose and walks out of the restroom. I smiled and closed the door behind her. I was so dazed as i undressed and started the water. I stepped in and closed the curtain behind me. I sat down on the floor of the tub for a bit and just let the water hit my back. As I sat there all i could think about was what just happened. I kept smiling like an idiot as i pulled my knees to my chest and hugged them. 5 minutes passed and i stood back up. I took my shower and got out another 15 minutes later. I turned the water off and grabbed my towel. I dried my hair and my body and I put on my underwear, shorts, and my sports bra. I wrapped my dirty clothes in my towel and set them in the basket. I grabbed the brush and brushed my hair when i heard a knock on the door. "Ash can i come in?" I heard Liz call from the other side.

I opened the door and smiled. "Well good morning sunshine." "Hey." She replied. i moved back and let her in. I closed the door and grabbed my tooth brush. "Do you feel better?" I asked her. She set her clothes down on the the towel rack and shrugged. "Yea i guess so i mean at least my eyes aren't puffy." I chuckled and replied, "Yea that's what happens when you sleep." I put toothpaste on my tooth brush and start brushing my teeth. "Ash.." i heard Liz say as i look at her in the mirror. "Yea?" I replied with as i saw her looking at my scars. "Can I?" The question kind of lingered. I slowly stopped brushing my teeth and just kind of held the tooth brush in my mouth. She lifted her hands and hesitated a bit. I anticipated her touch and she gently laid her hands on my back. I tensed a little bit and then slowly relaxed. Her hands made their way over every scar. I stayed still. No one has ever touched them or even seen them this closely. She's seen them you know when i change or whatever, but i never actually paid attention to whether or not she looks at me. 

It felt a little weird because well it's never happened, but i mean I'm glad its her and not someone else. "Liz.." I say sort of muffled from the tooth brush in my mouth. She sort of snapped out of the trance she was in and moved her hands away slowly. "I never.. realized you had this many." I nodded my head. "Yea, but i try not to show them as much so i mean it's kinda hard to tell," I say as i continue brushing my teeth. "Well thank you." She replied as she waited for me to finish. I spit out my toothpaste and rinsed out my mouth. "No need to thank me." I say as i pat her head. I smiled some before i walked out and back to my room. I looked at the clock and it was already nine at night. I yawned a bit and looked around thinking for a minute. I heard a knock on my door and i hummed softly as i walked over to answer it. I opened the door and to my surprise it was Michelle. I smiled softly and she looked so awkward. "Hey." I said. She sort of waved back. "Do you mind if i sleep with you tonight..." She asked her voice kind of trailing off. I blushed softly and motioned for her to come in. "Not at all." She came in and i closed the door behind her.

I walked to my bed and laid down in it. I saw her hesitate and patted the spot on the bed next to me. She slowly got in and covered herself. I smiled because i hadn't seen her this flustered before. I lay down facing her and she faces me. "You're a little dork you know that." I say as i watch her. She covered her face with one hand and sighed, "I know...You just.. give me butterflies." She said as she looked back at me, her face a soft pink. I hummed and moved closer into her. "Goodnight Michelle." I say as i hold onto the front of her shirt. "Goodnight Ash.." she whispered softly in my ear. It wasn't long after that i fell asleep listening to the sound of her heart beat.
