dan didn't know it was possible to blush because someone had given you a cute nickname via text message. goodness, he was an idiot who was falling fast.

dan smiled down at his phone, thinking through what he would say next. he didn't want to embarrass himself after all!

was that too risky? maybe it would sound like dan had a crush on phil (which he did but that was beside the point). he sighed and begun to wait for phil to reply.

dan waited for an hour. he redecorated his garden in neko atsume three times. phil still hadn't read his message. dan decided to give up and put his phone on his desk and opening his laptop.

a few more hours later and it was midnight. dan was fiddling with his phone again, feeling anxious. phil still hadn't even read his message! he sighed, annoyed that he was wasting his time staying up so late. he should just go to-

dan could barely contain his excitement as he opened the message.
