Christina read from her phone. It was 8:00 am and her phone is blowing up with all these messages and news regarding Adam's first glorious bundle of joy.

"Chris! which rock have you been hiding in? because I'm pretty sure it's not the one from my farm! Dayum girl I couldn't believe you can abandon your cowboy just like that :( Message me back as soon as you get this. Xoxo Mr. 4th Time Winning Coach of The Voice and your most attractive friend" Christina grinned after reading the 30th message from Blake with the same content as the last 29.

*Rowdy! wanna get a little un-ruly!...* Christina let out a chuckle from hearing Blake's ringback tone

"Hello?" She heard a country accent from the other line.

"Really Blake?" She asked with a little giggle under her words, referring to his ringback tone.

"It's catchy! it's my party and horny song" Blake protested.

"Eeeew! you're nasty. Anyway, how's my favorite cowboy?" She replied.

"Weeeell besides the fact that you had a majooor amnesia about me and your voice folks, yes I'm fine" He answered in a sarcastic tone.

"Can't a girl just enjoy her 'just carried a baby for 9 months and finally went on labour' moment" Christina answered... but at the back of her mind, she knew there was something else... a much larger reason why she isolated herself from The Voice coaches and staffs.

"I'm pretty sure one message wouldn't hurt your post pregnancy body. And for your information, the little diva of yours is a year and a half old now Ms. Full of Excuses, so I'm not sure if your body is still part of the 'post pregnancy club''" Blake rolled his eyes, and Christina could tell because she knows Blake as much as she knows the alphabet.

"Awwww... is that you missing me? Let me guess, Gwen failed to put you guys in your places didn't she?"

"Well who else is better than busting our balls than Xtina? no one! especially Adam, that one's a tough nut" hearing his name sent a punch into Christina's stomach "Speaking of Adam, the bullcrap is having a baby! Can you imagine? a kid having a kid? HA. HA." Blake laughed.

There was a slight pause...

"Chris, you there?" Blake checked in a more serious tone

"Yes yes. Haha you're such an ass. Let our friend enjoy his moment of fatherhood. Afterall, how often do we get to see a five year old become a parent?" She joked, attempting to lift up the awkwardness from her silence. She succeeded with the noise of Blake's laugh.

"That's the Christina I know! I'm glad we had at least a few minutes to talk. Sending you loves from me, your Tom, Jerry... you know, because you're so small! HAHA. Alright bye now" and with that, Blake hung up.

Hearing his name sent thousands of dead butterflies in her stomach.

"We're over" that was the last she heard from him. Those words that continuously haunt her from 2 years ago up until now.

She shook her head, composed herself. It took all her being to forget about those thoughts, or at least stop them from rushing back all at once. Walking into her bathroom, she stopped in the mirror and glanced at her reflection. Her face was fresh and radiant. She was a bit pale, but still looked healthy and gorgoeus, perhaps even more gorgeous than her tanned self. Her long blonde locks defined her face well, she didn't need any glam today, for her natural beauty could enlighten a pitch dark room. But her eyes, there was something about her eyes that conveys deep emotion, deep sadness. She closed her eyes, then opened it once again and smiled. "Hi guys I've missed you" She said keeping her smile, practicing on how to act or what to say when she see all the coaches later that day. Right after she finished, all the happiness in her face drained once more. She couldn't be more thankful for her acting skills gained from Burlesque.
