Adam's POV
I pulled over to help the person inside the car who crashed on the pole I just passed through, but I couldn't move a muscle as I was still shocked as fuck on the accident I just witnessed. I forced a step, then another and another... until I was only inches away from the car. The vehicle was wrecked, glass fragments scattered within the area. Adrenaline took over as I saw the engine compartment smoking and rushed to break the door open, the car could explode any second now. There lay the victim with his head propped against the stirring wheel. I rapidly but gently rested his back on the seat, revealing his forehead plastered with blood which caused me to freak out even more. I tried to shake him into consciousness but he only groggily handed me a picture of a woman, inaudibly mentioning her name before falling back unconscious. The smoke began to dominate the air and I momentarily got him out of the car with his arm around my shoulders and mine in his torso for support. I bust a gut to handle a weight of two grown ass men, myself and him, since it's my only shot to liberate us from getting barbecued. With all my strength, I tried to take us away as far as I could from the car that was about to blow up... then I heard an ear-splitting explosion. The force of the detonation pushed us both into the ground. An extreme twinge shot through my body and it hurt like a bitch, but I know I couldn't just doze off while there's a person at death's door crying out for aid. I stood up and staggered to the man and checked his pulse, it was weak but a huge weight has been lifted off my chest knowing that he could still be saved. I reached for my phone from the pocket of my jeans and dialled 911. I couldn't tell if a person was already on the other line because I was deaf from the explosion but I informed our location anyway and said that paramedics is desperately needed, hoping that I was heard. Before I could even hung up, my vision slowly faded into black.

Half an hour later...
"Mr. Levine" I heard an unclear voice calling out my name as I felt a hand tapping my arm.

I slowly fluttered my eyes open, trying to regain my vision. I saw a cop in front of me and I sat up, feeling a stinging sensation throughout my body when I did. My head was throbbing in pain and the sound of sirens from the police car made it worse.

"How long have I been passed out?" I asked rubbing my head on where most of the pain seemed to come from.

"Since we arrived, about..." The cop checked his watch "15 minutes"

I saw a burnt car behind him. "Shit! How is he?!" I panicked as I retrieved full memory of what happened and remember the guy in a critical state.

"He's in the ambulance and we also have to take you for medical examination."

He offered his hand to help me stand on my feet and ushered me into the ambulance.

Christina's POV
After ranting about Adam's bullshits to Cam for an hour, my anger finally subsided. It's really nice to have an outlet who patiently listens to you and comforts you until you tense down and for me, it's Cam, it was always Cam. He patted the vacant space on the couch next to him and when I was about to take his invite and sit, he pulled me into his lap.

"You could've just told me you want my ass on your lap you know" I giggled as I settled on his lap.

"Where's the fun in that" He nuzzled my neck "I wanted to take you by surprise" I felt his muscular arms wrap around my waist, pulling me tighter into his embrace.

"You're acting younger than Max" I teased, rolling my eyes.

"Not only kids needs attention" He pouted similarly to a kid.
