"Follow me." Blake said grabbing my hand and pulling me out of the house. I wonder where his mom went.

It was evening and the sun was beginning to set. He sat us down at the top of the hill over looking the town.

"Alright now tell me whats going on." I said looking over at him. He furrowed his eyebrows.

" I dont know where to start." He started picking at the grass.

" I would suggest the beginning." I suggested sarcastically. I chuckled lowly.

"Okay I guess ill just get right into it. Our race" He motioned to the town."has been here for many centuries. The first of our kind was a woman who was traveling on a trail with her family when she was attacked by a mountain lion."

My eyes widened. Well that a little crazy to seem true. He looked at me sternly.

"Dont think im lying to you . I'm serious, this story has been passed down from generation to generation. "  he said looking very serious.

"Okay... sorry continue." I looked back out into the town listening to him while watching the people walk around the town.

"As I was saying , she was attached by a mountain lion. At least that's what they thought it was a first until one night she got very sick."

"They went to the nearest town to find a doctor, but the doctor didn't know what was going on. He just told them it would pass, but that same night she attacked her husband. The husband survived but he said he was mauled by some creature."

"This was the begging of the first pack of 'werecats'" I laughed and he looked over at me.

"Like a werewolf?" His face twisted in disgust. "No we hate werewolves. Werecats and werewolves have been enemies for as far back as I can remember."

I stared at him with shock "Wait I just found out there is a whole race were humans turn into cats and your telling me that werewolves are real now." He laughed. "You're not on drugs are you?"

"What no!" he said laughing. "Actually were-cats are a lot nicer then were-wolves. We protect humans from them."

"That why Vega and I left the pack here to go a fight the werewolf pack that has been attacking humans in the city."

"Why you and Vega?" I asked him.

"Well we are the best fighters in the pack." He told me.

"So what can you guys do?" I motioned at Blake with my hands.

"Him we can do a lot of things but some of them would include : speed, strength, advanced eyesight, etc." He counted with his fingers.

"and eyes that change color." I said.

"Actually no that's just me." He shrugged.

"Why?" I know I might be asking a lot of questions but I deserved some answers.

"No one knows, everyone was actually scared of it when I was born. They didn't like that I was different."

He crossed his legs and leaned back on his elbows looking up at the sky. Which was splashed with reds, pinks, and oranges.

His eyes turned orange like the color of fall leaves.

He sighed" Anyway my pack came to this town to settle here. There are pack towns everywhere, but they are well hidden that's why no one ever mentions them."

"My father brought us here and my father was leader of the pack until he died  fighting a pack of werewolves on his own and my mother had to take over of everything. She has done a good job or keeping us secret." he paused thinking something over.

"We use or cat forms to seem innocent and go into the city un-noticed by humans. Really though our true forms are very intimidating." he looked over at me.

"Can you show me?" I asked him. It was probably a bad idea but I was curious.

"No." is all he said shaking his head and turned back towards the town.

I wasn't going to press it any more because he seemed like he didnt want to show me.

He changed the subject by going back to the story. "I was out that morning spying on the werewolf pack in my cat form, but then you fell of your skateboard and hit your head. I was just going to leave , but I felt the need to protect you." He looked down painfully.

"Now the whole town is angry at you because you know to much, now you might be in danger and it my fault. So I have to keep you safe since this is my fault I got you in this position in the first place." He glanced over at her.

Oh great now I have a supernatural race after me because I decided to skateboard to the bus stop that day.

I just sit there looking at the sun set over the town thinking over everything. I look over to see Blake looking at me.

"What are you thinking?" he asks me.

"Just trying to wrap me head around everything." I sigh looking back to the town.

We sit there for a few minutes, before I hear blake stand up and brush of his pants.

"Should I take you home now?" I look up at him and nod my head.

He rubs the back of his neck. "Um, It would be faster if we run back to your house but to do that i would have to pick you up." he says

"Fine by me." I say getting up and walking over to him.

He picks me up and turns around running down the hill leaving the town behind us.we pass street after street.

Even my wrecked car and the school till we arrive at the street we first 'met' at.

"I dont exactly know where you live." Blake said looking down at me.

Oh yeah. I blushed.

"I can walk from here."

He didnt put me down though. He looked around quickly. It was dark but I could see his eyes turn red.

" I think it would be best if i walked you the rest of the way since it was getting dark."

He seemed serious and it was scaring me so I agreed. We walked back to my house while Blake kept looking around.

We get to my porch. "What do I tell my family when they ask me where I have been all day.

Suddenly the door swings out and my brother is standing there. He eyes me and Blake raising his eyebrows.

Then he did something surprising and just shut the door.

"Well goodbye I guess" I said turning back to him

"yeah bye, ill see you around."

I  walked over to the door and cracked it open. Then looked back and saw Blake dart away.

I looked around. I wonder what he was so afraid of then walked back inside.

Clay was standing in front of me with his arms crossed.

"Its not what you think." I told him throwing up my hands.

"Right" he said turning and walking away.

Woah it has been a crazy day. I leaned on the wall breathing out.
