The Greeks Daughter

Chapter 1

My school may look normal on the outside, but on the inside you would think differently. The students and faculty are the children and descendants of Greek gods! A few of the teachers are exiled gods. My only friends are Noah,son of Hades, Marcus,son of Apollo,Tracilynn,daughter of Artemis and Eros. You might wonder who my parents are.
Well, I don't really know myself. But my father is Poseidon,God of the sea.
We are like normal teenagers but add old family feuds,curses,and Gifts. We have our hobbies such as drama,sports,robotics,music,choir, and journalism.
We all stick to our social groups. No one intermingles.
Jocks with jocks. Preps with preps.goths with goths.brainiacs with brainiacs.But when your like me, you don't fit in with any one of those.
I love sports- I'm on the swim team(duh), I play volleyball,and I shoot archery(awfully). I am obsessed with music- I play clarinet. I enjoy learning,writing,and running. No one wants to be friends with someone like me. I have traits of different gods. That isn't common at all... Who am I kidding? It NEVER happens.
I am going to my father's palace to visit for summer break and I plan on asking why I am like this. It gets worse as I get older.
I am in biology with my best friend,Noah and we are pretending to listen to a lecture about the nervous system. I start thinking about the coming out party my dad is having for me. My dress is royal blue with rhinestones embedded in the bodess.

Noah passed me a note that said:
Hey Lexa. I wanted to know if you had a escort to the party yet?

I wrote back:
No Noah. Not yet. Why.

He took forever to respond:
I wanted to know if you would like to go with me?

It took all I had not to squeal in the middle of class.

My last note said:
YES!!!!!

In the hallway after class I was waiting for my best friend Tracilynn.
She comes up behind me and scares the shit out of me. "Shit,T. You just had to scare me didn't you?" She laughs as she puts her French book in her locker." Yeah,I kinda did. What were you and Death boy talking about?"

I smiled at her and thought of what just happened only moments ago. "Well, Noah just asked to be my escort to the ball!" Tracilynn screamed," Oh my Gods!", so loud that the entire hallway stopped and stared at her. She held up both hands and flipped off the whole student body." What are you staring at fuckbags?! Mind your own fucking business before I get my bow and shoot your ignorant asses!"

She turned back towards me,lowered her voice,and repeats," Oh my Gods . Seriously? Aww you two are so cute together. Water Boys' daughter and Death Breaths' son,so sweet." I started blushing. I know how to get her back for that." Aww Sunshine and Midnights' daughter. So adorable." She blushes like me. "I get your point,A. Anyways my dad has always known you two get hook up."

"Your parents have a strange relationship. Your mom is Artemis,whose vow was to NEVER get involved with love or boys, but lookey where she is now. She has a daughter and a husband,who is none other than the God of Love."

"Yeah I know ironic,right?"
"Another ironic thing, the daughter of water and the daughter of the moon are best friends."
"Yeah,that is ironic."

The bell rings and we have to walk all the way across campus to athletics. Today is archery day. Yay.( hint my sucky attitude)
Tracilynn and I walk to the stand to get our custom made bows made by Hephestus himself. Tracilynn nochs and releases an arrow long before I can even get one. She walks me through the steps for the millionth time but something different happens. The arrow flies and hits the center of the target.
"Whoah,Alexa! Have you been practicing?"

"No! Since when do I practice archery?" I say with my nose scrunched up. "Well then what in Hades' was that?!?"
"I don't know."

Yes I do.

Another gift.

I need to talk to my dad about this.

We go sit on the bleachers and talk about what we're going to bring on the trip to my dads. When the lsr bell rings, we have a list a mile long of belongings. We meet up with Noah and Marcus (Tracilynn's boyfriend) at the front doors. Noah hesitates, but grabs my hand. Marcus hugs Tracilynn and gives her a quick peck on the lips. Noah side steps closer to me and whispers in my ear," Wanna go to my house? They're going to Marcus' from here."

"Yes please. I don't want to see them get down on each other." He laughs and leads me through the doors and into the beautiful sunlight. "Okay,we've known each other since we were like seven so I'm just gonna ask." He stops and turns to look at me.
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
My only reply is a kiss. "I guess that is a yes?" I laugh,bite my lip,and kiss him again. He bites his lip,runs his fingers through his dark brown hair,and grabs my hand again. We finally make it to his house,which is actually not in hell. It is only his dad that does down there. Fuck stereotypes. We go inside and go to his dads office. Suprisingly,he is in there. "Hello son. Hello,Alexa Rose. How was school children?"

"It was great!! I got a girlfriend!"

"Oh really? Who is the girl?"

Noah puts his arm around my shoulder and kisses my head." This beautiful girl." Hades' face lights up with a smile at his sons' revelation." That's so fantastic! I pray that Tyche blesses you two with the best luck."
This time it is me who speaks," Mr. H
how are things with you?" "Oh,you know works been, well busy." "I hope it all goes smoothly. Thank you Alexa. Now you two go and let me finish my work." With that he pushed up his glasses and dismissed us.

AUTHORS NOTE
Well here's the first chapter....idk why it took so long to get it up...I have most of this book handwritten and I'm transferring it to Wattpad so the updates don't have a select date but I'm will try to update a chapter every Wednesday...(REMEMBER THAT IS NOT THE SELECT DATE)

I am going to have a qotc (quote of the chapter) that should be fun..
