Nagisa POV

She pulled me in front of the crowd and had me face everyone. I saw Karma with his slightly worried expression coming up in the back of the group.

"Why am I in front of everyone?"
I stumble, blushing.

"Well they want to say they missed you and all that jazz." She pushes me back into the crowd and I trip over my feet. Karma pushes through the front row to catch me.

"This is why we shouldn't have come. People are crowding." He whispered in my ear right before we were smothered.

"Group hug!"

"G-guys! Hey! You are crushing me!"

"Aww Python! You don't like being so close to all of us?" I was being crushed from all directions.

"Shut up, Karma." I duck under everyone and narrowly escape under all of the feet.

I notice Karma had escaped too and was looking scornfully at the group. They all collapsed on top of each other then noticed us standing in the shadows on either side of the room.

"How did you guys-?"

"We are military trained assassins. We could have either escaped or killed all of you in this amount of time."

"Karma!" I growl in his direction and he rolls his eyes. Oh that puts you on a list. Not a good list.

"What? I speak the truth."

"You don't need to be spouting classified information!" I stomp over. I stand in front of him a moment before he lowers his gaze to meet mine.

"Check."

"What?"

"You're in check."

"What does that mean?" I put a finger in his face and immediately regretted it. The smirk that spread across his face told me my move was a bad one.

"Checkmate." He grabbed my hand and twisted it behind my back. He entwined his other hand with mine."I win."

He gave me a short, sweet kiss. I kiss back.

"You could have done that later." I mumble.

"But then you would never tell your friends that you're my fiance."

"WHAT?!!"

"Look what you did. You broke them." I chuckle at their stares.

"When are you getting married?!"

"In a few years."

"When did this proposal happen?"

"Like yesterday."

"Why would you accept that freaks feelings?!"

"Hey!" I look up to see Karma, a little distressed, trying to find out who said that.

"Karma. You are not a freak."

"But the problem is...you're wrong. I am. You know that." He whispers back.

"Not really." I pull him away. "We only need to stay for a little longer. Then we can go get our new assignment."

"Fine." He pats my head. He walked away smiling like he just tricked me. Wait.

"Hey!" I chase after him and he starts running.

"Too late you already said it!"

"You tricked me!"

"It was a tactic. Quite useful actually." We run back to the group who had gone to the basement.

"Oh! The love birds finally decided to join us." Kayano squeaks.
