The Gryffindor table cheered and clapped as I walked over and sat next to Ginny.
"I see it now." Fred states talking to George.
"Me too- but you you know- the hair is the main difference." George address gesturing towards me.
"Sorry- we don't think we've properly introduced ourselves yet," Fred says "I'm George."
"And I'm Fred." Says George.
"No," I say correcting them, "You're Fred and your George- Ginny's already told me plenty about you two." I say pointing to the right two when I said their names.
"Ooooh, a clever one. Fine, fine," Fred begins, "but we don't know who you are."
"True or false," George cuts in, "You are the ghost of Harry's dead mother and have taken form in a child's body coming to haunt Harry this year." I see them smirking, so I join in on the joke.
"True." I state calmly tying to keep in a giggle.
"Ladies and gentlemen," Fred says standing up, "We have a ghost among us." He sits back down.
"You idiots- there are already ghosts in this castle, if you're trying to make a joke then I don't think anyone will find it funny." Hermoine Granger cuts in. "I'm Hermione Granger, are you really Harry's sister?"
"Hello, I'm Lily and yes it's true- hasn't Harry told you?" I ask as I avert my eyes to the staff table. Severus has disappeared somewhere.
"No, but you don't live with the Dursley's do you?" Hermione asks.
"No I don't. Harry apparently never wanted me there, I guess that's fine though- I've been living with Severus my whole life." I explain.
"Severus!?" Hermoine gasps, "As in Severus Snape!?"
"Yes... Is there something wrong with that?" I ask confused.
"Only that he's the worst teacher here," another boy pipes in, "I'm Seamus Finnigan by the way."
"Well- he's not a horrible Godfather." I say bowing my head.
"Godfather?" Hermione asks.
"Yes." I state.
"Wicked." The twins say in unison.
"But how is that possible? No offence to you but Severus hates Harry- how did he even come to being your godfather?" Hermione asks questionably.
So I decide to tell them my story- and by them I mean everyone at the Gryffindor table (they all found me very interesting apparently).
"But surely Harry must have mentioned something?" I ask pleadingly.
"I'm sorry but I don't even think Harry knows about you- unless Dumbledore or Snape told him." Hermione says looking sorry.
My heart sinks- Harry knows nothing about me.
"Talking about Harry, has anyone seen him?" Seamus asks.
"No, but I am certain that Ronald and him have got themselves into trouble again." Hermione huffs.
"Mum's going to be furious." Ginny pipes up.
"She certainly will." Percy says who's sitting next to Ginny.
"Now children, the welcoming feast has finished," Dumbledore begins silencing everyone, "I ask all first years to please follow their prefects to their dormitories."
And with that I stand up with Ginny, bidding everyone goodnight.
We're lead up staircase after staircase until I'm panting with the effort- having short legs is not an advantage either.
As we get to the top of a staircase I see a large painting of a rather plump lady in a pink dress.
She then asks "Password?"
"Portage Snout." Percy states clearly.
The portrait swings open and Percy climbs in instructing us not to forget the password.
I walk through the portrait hole and into our common rooms.
"This is the Gryffindor common rooms." Percy says.
Thank you captain obvious- where else would we be, the staff room?
"Boys upstairs and down to your left, girls the same to your right." Percy instructs and we all follow.
I walk up the staircase and turn left following Ginny.
I walk into the girls dorms and see five four-poster beds.
Ginny and I sit down on two next to each other, Stevie takes another and a girl called Hazel in another. The fifth bed lays unoccupied.
I see that our trunks have been brought up and Constance sits in her cage at the end of my bed.
I don't even bother to take off my robes, I just lie on my bed, switch off the lamp beside me and mumble a goodnight to Ginny. She does the same and I drift off to sleep.
I'm slightly disappointed that I didn't meet Harry today and by the fact that Severus was lying about him knowing me.
Sneaky Severus.
Oh well, I think- there's always tomorrow.
