Chapter 20

THIRD PERSON POV

Alle had actually loved being pregnant. She didn't have much trouble at all other then some discomfort here and there. She has worked the whole time and only needed breaks occasionally. The doctor told her a few days ago that she could go into labor at any time now. Doctor Mason asked her if she wanted to go on maternity leave starting now.

If so she could get her the paper work ready but Alle said no because she didn't see a reason to. Until today. Alle was in a very important meeting. So much she worked for in this company was riding on this one meeting. Alle was in the middle of the meeting when she felt the first contraction. It wasn't very strong so she figured she would get through the meeting. After all, these things take time.

"So i have this presentation for you all." Alle stood up and walked to the front of the room. She wasn't timing them but she did know they were coming more frequently. "If you open those files it is all laid out there for you." That is when Alle turned and she heard a pop followed by a gush of fluid that ran down her legs and pooled on the floor at her feet. Alle said "Excuse me gentlemen." And walked out grabbing her belly as a contraction torn through her body. "Mrs. Larove are you ok?" "I need to get to the hospital. NOW!"

Alle was admitted into the hospital and Larissa and Hazel ran into the room. "Munchkin are you ok?" Alle reached for Hazel. "Yes I'm ok." Larissa caressed her cheek. "Oh mommy I am so humiliated." This confused Larissa because her daughter doesn't let anything bother her. "Why sweety?" Alle's eyes filled with tears. "I was in that meeting for the big project AND MY WATER BROKE IN FRONT OF A ROOM FULL OF EVERY IMPORTANT MEN AND WOMEN!"

Larissa hugged her daughter. While trying not to laugh. Hazel failed. She began to laugh. "Baby they will understand. Don't worry." Another contraction hit Alle. Hazel let Alle squeeze her hand. "Breath baby. Just keep breathing." Alle put her head back as the contraction subsided. "When can i have an epidural?" Hazel smiled. "As soon as i get my money." Alle laughed. Larissa was not expecting that response from Hazel.

"I have been telling Hazel i can handle the pain and would not get an epidural almost since the day we found out i was pregnant. So we bet on it. I lost and i am happy to if you please ask someone for the epidural." Hazel kissed her forehead. "I will be glad to go get someone." Larissa sat on the bed with her daughter and put her arm around her. Alle laid her head on her mother's shoulder.

"Mommy i am scared. I really didn't think it would be so painful but this is awful and i am not even half way through." "I felt the same way but you will get through it. It is always worth it. Besides, you wont be alone." Just then Carmen, Hope and Bella walked in. "Hey guys." Carmen hugged her daughter. "You all didn't have to come here." Hope push her in the shoulder a little. "Of course we did. We will be waiting the whole time to see the newest members of our family."

Alle screamed at another contraction. "MAN Alle! I haven't heard you scream that loud since i walked in on you having sex." "HOPE!" Everyone in the room but Alle said. Alle was laughing. "That's true." Was her response between her laughing. "A nurse is getting someone for the epidural."Hazel said as she walked back in the room. Every one left the 2 alone. "Alle whats wrong?" Alle was about it speak when she began to vomit everywhere.

Hazel tried to find something for Alle to throw up in. It was no use so she just pushed the nurse call button and sat by her rubbing her back. Alle was crying because of the contraction and the vomiting. "I'm so sorry Alle." The nurse came in and helped get everything and Alle cleaned up. "It just came out of nowhere." Alle said. "It is very normal to vomit during transition from active labor to the final stages of labor. That is why when we plan to induse labor we don't allow the mother to eat or drink. But you went into labor naturally so I'm sure you have been eating." Alle nodded.
