Dakota's POV
I smiled at my sister dancing. "Thank's for coming guys. I wanted her to have some support." I hugged Nick and Bella.
"No problem Kota. I love watching Adrienne dance." Bella sat on the other side of her brother.
"Yeah." We watched my younger sister perform her solo. Nick's hand found mine, intertwining our fingers. I smiled, laying my head on his shoulder. My dad turned to look at me and smiled, winking. "Did your dad just wink at us?"
"I think he wants us to get together." I whispered.
I walked through the park with Nick. "You look beautiful." I smiled. I'd decided to dress girlier than normal. I had on a skater skirt, a black leotard, silver sandals, and a blazer.
"Thank you." He pulled me closer.
"Dakota Kayden Taylor," He stopped and kneeled in front of me. My eyes widened. "May I escort you on a date?"
"Uh." I caught a glimpse of my dad walking with Adrienne. My sister smiled and walked over. She grabbed me and covered my mouth.
"She'd love to go on a date with you." I looked at her. "Love you Kota!" She ran off with dad.
"Love you too!" I looked at Nick. "Yes." He smiled.
"Tomorrow night?" I nodded.
"Can you give me a ride?" I realized my family had left.
"Of course."
"See you tomorrow." He hugged me. I smiled. "Dress fancy." He smiled.
"Now I have to search my mom's closet for something." He laughed, kissing my cheek.
"Sweet dreams love." He jogged back to his car.
I walked in and my mom tackled me. "I heard everything! We need to fix you up for tomorrow! I need to do your nails, curl your hair, find you a dress-"
"Mom!" She stopped. "Goodnight." I kissed her cheek.
"No!" She whined. "I want to do your nails and I need you to try on some dresses."
"Dad!" My dad came and picked up my mom, throwing her over his shoulder. "Thank you."
"Anytime. Goodnight princess." He kissed my head.
"We're not done! I'll be in your room later!" I sighed, following them upstairs. I walked in my room and locked my door.
I felt something on my face. I opened an eye and my mom stared at me. "How did you get in here?" She held up a key. "Why are you in here," I looked at my alarm clock. "At three in the morning?" She held up a beauty blender. "Words?"
"Nails, makeup, clothes."
"Sentences?"
"No."
"Out." She got up. "Wait!" She stopped. "Clean my face."
"Fine."
I woke up and looked at my clock. I groaned, covering my face. "Cheer up beautiful." I looked at my mom.
"I'm sleeping." I fake snored.
"Someone's here to see you." I moved my blanket and looked at my aunts.
"Hey cutie." I smiled and sat up. "Nice face." I looked in the mirror to see makeup caked on. "Jay?"
"She's a deep sleeper. And she has a date tonight." My mom shrugged.
