I sat in the back of the classroom, a little early, secretly eyeing the door way, waiting for my favorite uni (short for unicorn) to walk through the door.  The desks were short and there was a blue mat to sit on, and you used your horn to take notes.  Did I mention that we had some magical powers that we could use with it? Some of us were better than others, and some were specialized.  I was able to record with my horn so I did not need to take notes like the others, or levitate a pen with my horn and take notes.

My heart dropped when I saw little miss sunshine walk in, with her prissy main perfectly coiffed in large bouncy curls and charcole mascara coating her long lashes.  Her main was pink, and her horn was pink and black  with sparkles, her coat was white with black spots.  Her hooves were also black and shiny, and each clip and clop of her hooves sounded light and smooth. Even her walk was perfect.  Chloe liked to bother me, and she sat down next to me as always.

"Hi Safie,"  Chloe chirpped.

I inwardly groaned, "It's Saffire."

Ever since her betrayal, she could not be trusted. When she walked up to Midnight and told him that I had a crush on him. She did apologize, but I still cant trust her.  Ever since then Midnight has been avoiding me like a plague.

"You used to be Safie to me," Chloe said forlorn, knowing that her once best friend was still upset.

"Yeah, and Midnight was going to be mine until you swooped in." I huffed.

"Midnight is clueless! That wasn't me! I don't even like him!" She protested.

"Whatever," I stared blankly ahead, watching the ponies walk in one by one and take their seats. Then I saw Midnight walk in.

He had gorgeous shiny black fur and a silvery main, his horn was pearly with a soft glow, he seemed perfect.  Why had I even let him ruin our friendship? I wasn't sure, but I still had to avoid Chloe, she broke my trust.

Midnight sat towards the front of the class, glancing backwards to look at Chloe, he tells her to forget about me.

Chloe leaned in and whispered, "The only reason he avoids you is because you yelled that you hated him after I told him your secret!"

I whispered back, "Yeah! Thats what you do to keep him from knowing the truth, that I liked him!"

"Can we be friends again?" Chloe asked nervously.

"Okay," I smiled, realizing she was sincere.  I still had a crush on Midnight, but I could forget about him.

The teacher rang the cow bell and dismissed us, I was walking through the hall when I was suddenly confronted by Midnight.

"O-Oh, Midnight," I coughed, "What are you doing here?" He was breath taking.

"Stop trying to steal MY bestfriend," He scoffed.

My jaw dropped, and I realized that all the times Chloe had tried to explain to me with the utmost patience that Midnight was a jerk... that she was right.

"Woah, Chloe is NOT your possession, she can be friends with whoever she likes," I growled, then I added, "And be sure to stay away from her, because now you've revealed your true colors jerk!"

"I'm not a jerk though!" I heard faintly as I ran away.
