It has been a few months since Ryan came home from Canada and things seemed to be going great or so he thought ...
Dove and Ryan's nights were always the same Monday through Friday after his girlfriend came home from work (yes work, thought dove was an actress on the hit TV show, Liv and Maddie. To them it was still considered a job and therefore they treated it like one). They would order in - (Dove wasn't much of a cooker nor was Ryan), grab a fuzzy blanket and binge-watch some of their favourite shows on Netflix. They loved spending every moment with each other and it did not matter what they did, as long as they did it together they were happy. You're probably wondering why I'm telling you all this ... well today was Friday, Netflix and takeout... not tonight my friend. Today was the beginning of a crazy night.
"Hey dove, it's me open up", Ryan said knocking on the front door of her house.
"IM COMING JUST GIVE ME A DAMN MINUTE", she replied seeming upset.
"Ok no worries, take your time. I'll just be here standing in the rain", he said.
"hey", she said, opening the door.
"hi", he said confused.
"What ... why are you staring at me like that?", dove said.
"Nothing ... I just hmm ... you usually", Ryan said
"I usually what", Dove replied.
"Jump into my arms and give me a big kiss" he said,smiling.
"Yeah well don't count on it", she said.
"ok babe. What's up? You've been acting strange the minute I got here", Ryan signed
"I HAVE NOT", she yelled.
"Babe", he said giving her a look.
"Sorry, I'm just a bit stressed and I'm not feeling too great right now. I didn't mean to yell at you", dove replied
"It's ok, I know you didn't mean it", Ryan said
~~~later on at night~~~
"hey, I was thinking maybe we could watch the new James Bond movie" he said talking to his gf who was in the kitchen preparing a snack.
He soon heard a loud scream and sobs coming from the other room. There were two things in the in the entire world that ever made Ryan's heart sink. One was the notebook and two was seeing Dove cry. Ryan hated when his girlfriend cried - it was as if someone took a hammer and smashed his heart in to a million pieces.
"Babe, are you ok in there?", Ryan said
"Ryan" she screamed, running into the room.
"What? What's wrong" he said getting up fast.
"I... I was reading a tweet a fan has sent me about my dad and ... and I ... I ... I the knife and ... owww ... owww", she said pointing to her hand.
"Oh my gosh! Chloe your hand is bleeding", he said rushing over to her.
"Oow ow be careful", she said as he touched around her cut.
"it's fine, it's just a small cut. I'll go get the first aid kit", he said
"NO IT'S NOT GOING TO BE FINE. ITS NOT GOING TO BE FINE. IT'S NEVER GOING TO BE FINE", Dove said crying into Ryan's arms.
"hey ... shhhh ... shhhh ... I'm here. It's ok, I'm here" Ryan replied, rubbing circles on her back. He knew her dad was a touchy subject with her, but this was way beyond Dove's personality. Ryan had never seen her act the way she did tonight and he knew he had to find out what.

This was the day that would change the rest of my life forever. Season 4 shooting of Liv and Maddie was going great. Ryan had finally come back from Canada. This this may sound crazy but seeing Ryan today is the last thing on my mind. Ryan was the love fo my life. We were always together until he left for Canada. When he got back, it was like I never existed. I tried so hard, but he didn't seem to care., until one one night, the night that changed a lot things. The day I had... the moment didn't fell right... but i did it anyways. Now you're wondering what all this has to do with dictating my life ... well, well you are soon about to find out.
"Babe, I'm sorry, I have to practice my lines. Can we do a raincheck for tomorrow? Netflix night?", Dove said nervously into the phone.
"Of course chickadee. You go study those lines and we will hang another night," Ryan replied
"You're the best" she said.
"No you're the best" he said , hanging up.
Ok ... so, I wasn't really studying my lines, but if I told Ryan the real reason why I couldn't hang, it would end in a huge disaster and i couldn't have that happening – not after the fact we just moved in together a few months ago.
"Hello" said Shelby picking up her phone.
"Hey Shelby ... it's uhmm ... it's Dove" I said, almost about to cry.
"Hey, what's up?" I was just about call you to see if you wanted to run lines" she said.
"uhmm ... yeah, sure, but do you mind picking up something for me on the way" I replied nervous.
"yeah for sure whatever you need" she said.
" uhmm ... uhmm ... I need ... can you ... " I said trying to create a sentence.
