When Link woke up, he put on his tunic and other stuff on. Link looked at his clock. It was 10:00. He went outside and he fed Epona some hay. "Link!" called a voice. Link turned around to see Adaline running towards him.
Adaline was a little girl that was like a little sister to Link. Her and her mother, Kala were neighbors with Rameh. Rameh had a crush on Kala, and always helped her with stuff. Kala's husband died in battle before Adaline was born.
Adaline simply leaped into Links arms and he caught her in a hug. "Why are you dressed like that?" asked Adaline when she saw what Link was wearing. "Because, uh...” said Link. Adaline giggled, “You look funny!" Link agreed with her. When he saw what he looked like in the mirror, he thought he looked a little weird. His tights made him look like a girl but luckily his tunic covered what he was uncomfortable with. His undershirt was tight too, but his tunic was snug and his boots were somewhat comfortable.
"So, why are you dressed like that Linky?" Adaline asked again. Adaline sometimes called him Linky. Link didn't mind, but he was embarrassed when other people called him Linky. Several times, some of the villagers teased him by calling him Linky."Because I have to go somewhere and I have to wear this oufit." Link answered. "Where are you going Link?" asked Adaline. "I have to go to the forest temple to meet someone there." "Oh, I wish I could come with you but mommy won't let me!" Adaline complained. "So, when will you be back?" "I'm not sure." said Link.
"Heya Link!" someone called. It was Rameh and he was approaching towards Link and Adaline. "Hey Adaline!" "Hi Rameh!" said Adaline. "How are you two kids?" asked Rameh. "Link's leaving." Adaline announced."You are?" asked Rameh. "Yeah, I am." Link answered. Rameh made a face when he saw what Link was wearing. "Yo, Link come here for a sec." he said. "Adaline, Link and I are gonna have a private conversation if you don't mind." "Okay, Link can I go visit Epona?" asked Adaline. "Sure!" Link said. Adaline ran to Epona's stable. Rameh put his arm around Link.
"Link, you do realize that outfit of yours makes you look strange?" "I know but I have to wear it!” said Link. "Why?" "Not sure really." said Link. "But can you take care of Epona for me? “Why, why are ya leaving without Epona?" asked Rameh. "They just told me not to bring her with me, or anyone else." said Link. "Well, I'd be happy to take care of Epona for a while." said Rameh. "Thanks Rameh, I knew I could count on you!" said Link.
Link went over to Epona's stable where Adaline was petting Epona's snout. Adaline loved horses; she wanted one of her own. Link taught her how to ride Epona. Epona was very gentile with Adaline because she was only six years old. "Adaline." said Link. "Yes Link?" Adaline said as she turned toward Link. "I have to leave now." "Right now?" asked Adaline. "Yeah, I'll miss you." Link said and embraced Adaline in a big hug.
{Author’s note: I won't bore you with the whole good- bye scene here so, lets skip ahead! :)}
Link was now running around trying to find the forest temple. He remembered it was made entirely out of trees. Link has been to the forest temple before, mostly to stop the boys of the village from entering there. The forest temple was a dangerous place. No one ever dared to enter.
After what seemed a long time, Link finally found it. The forest temple! This was Link's first time entering the temple. He expected it to be filled with monsters. Link didn't want to go in there. But something forced him to. He ran across the fragile looking bridge. He stopped when he was face to face with the entrance of the mysterious temple. Link gulped and went slowly inside. He took out his sword, braced for monsters to attack him.
Inside the forest temple was beautiful. Green grass was scattered all around. There were flowers too, and vines on the walls of trees collaborated into each other. Link was expecting a monster to come and attack him. But there were no monsters. Nothing.
Suddenly, there was a giggle that echoed through the whole room. It sounded like a little girl's giggle like Adaline's. Link was startled by the giggle. He looked all around him, but there was no one there. "Who's there?" Link called out. He took a few steps forward very slowly, braced for what might come at him.
Suddenly, arms took a hold of his neck. Link cried out in shock. He didn't expect an attack from behind. He struggled as hard as he could, but the arms just held him tighter and tighter until Link couldn't breathe. Finally, the arms let go of him. Link turned around quickly, panting to find what grabbed him.
It was an ordinary girl with short, green, wavy hair, but she had a long braid down to her lower back, she had small bangs that covered her forehead, she was shorter than Link she could pass for a fourteen year old, and had beautiful brown eyes, and she was giggling. "You got scared, didn't you?" she said and giggled some more. "Well, yeah!" Link said as soon as he got his breath back.
"Hey Petey, I scared him, hee hee hee!" the girl called out to someone. "Yeah, I could see that!" someone said. Link turned around to see a guy walking toward the girl. He had nice, straight golden hair that swooped over his forehead just ending at his eyebrows, he had perfect green eyes, he was about Link's height too.
"Who are you guys?" Link asked them both. "Oh, were one of the people who invited you to the party!" The guy said. "I'm Petey." "And I’m Clover, I’m the one who wrote you the invitation!" the girl giggled. She seemed like a spaz."Why are you guys even here?" asked Link. "Because we wanted you to come here Linky!" said Clover. "Linky?" Petey laughed. "Shut up!" Link yelled. "Okay, Linky!" Petey teased. Both he and Clover started laughing. Link picked up his sword and Petey and Clover stopped laughing.
"Okay, now let’s go look for the others." said Petey. "Are they in this temple too?" asked Link. "Nope, they're in different temples." said Clover. Then she started moaning happily and drooling."Uh, why is she doing that?" Link asked Petey. Petey said, "It's because she has a huge crush on one of our friends." "Who?" Link asked. "Jasper....." Clover said lovingly still in la-la land.
Suddenly she gasped and grabbed Link's shirt and she stuttered, "B-b-but th-that m-means we'll have to go into--" she gasped again. "Jasper's temple!" and she groped herself to Link even harder than before. Link's face turned sligtly blue."Petey, get her off!" Link gasped. Petey struggled to get Clover off of Link. Clover let go of Link and Petey fell pulling Clover with him.
"What's up with her?" Link asked. "She has a huge fear of the dark and the shadow temple is one of the places where we need to go to find Jasper." Petey said. Clover was really weird.Petey got up carrying Clover who was trembling in his arms. Then Clover stopped trembling and shouted with excitement, "Now, lets go find the others!" she leaped out of Petey's arms and ran toward the exit. "Come on you slow pokes! They don't have all day to wait, tee hee hee!" and she skipped along with Link and Petey following.
"How old is she?" Link whispered to Petey. "Seventeen." Petey whispered back. "I'm seventeen too, and you don't know what it's like knowing her your whole life." Link was eighteen and he didn't know anyone that was as strange as Clover."EEee! I cut my finger!!!!!" Clover yelled. She stuck her finger in her mouth for a few seconds. "All better!" she said, and continued skipping toward the bridge, and giggling. Link and Petey looked at each other. It was going to be a long journey!
