Jada and her friend Michelle walked down the streets of Baltimore chatting and laughing. It was a hot Friday afternoon and so far it had been a good day.

Suddenly both the girls screamed as boys pounced on them. Jada looked and shot a look at her bestfriend, Tupac. "That was not funny, yo!" Michelle snapped. "You know you wanted to laugh." Deshawn said putting an arm around her. Tupac tried to go in for a hug but Jada dodged it causing his friend Randy to laugh.

"Haha, swerved yo' ass, Pac!"

"Shut the fuck up." Pac told him. "What's up Jada? I can't get a hug?" Tupac said turning to Jada. "Why weren't you in school today?" She asked with a straight face. Being in AP classes school was important to her, and lately Pac had been playing hookie.

"So what? We skipped one day." Jamie said puffing on a cigarette. Jada shook her head and turned to Pac before grabbing Michelle's hand and turning to walk away. "Jay, wait!" Pac called. The guys teased and laughed at him and he stuck up his middle finger before continuing to follow the girls.

The girls continued to walk ignoring him. Once they turned the block to Michelle's place and they said their goodbye's, Jada looked back at Pac with a mean mug before continuing to walk home. "Jada come on!" He whined.

Still no answer. He snatched away one of her notebooks. "Pac! Give it back!" She groaned reaching for it. But he towered over her so she had to leap for it as he flailed it in the air. "No, not until you talk to me." He said putting it behind his back. She sucked her teeth trying to reach for it, but each time she did he turned 180 degrees. "Alright, fine!" She said. People had started to stare at them but they ignored.

"Good. So wanna tell me what yo' problem is now?" He said walking along side her. "You promised you wouldn't skip school this week." She told him clutching her books. "I know, and I'm sorry. Forgive me?" He asked with puppy dog eyes. She knew she couldn't resist and her mean mug turned into a smile. He laughed and hugged her.

"Fine, alright alright." She said. "Promise me you'll start going."

He gave her a pinky swear. "I promise."

Satisfied she had gotten what she wanted, they reached the steps of her apartment. "Wanna come inside and eat?" There moms knew eachother so it was alright. "Nah, I gotta get somewhere." He said suspiciously.

"Um.. okay." She said trying to smile, but was actually deep down worried. "I'll see you." He said. "You too Pac." She said as a breeeze snuck up on them blowing her bangs out of her face. "Where's mah hug at?" He asked, a smug grin on his face.

She rolled her eyes and embraced him. She was really small in his arms. She pulled away and said, "I'll see you tomorrow. At school. Got it?"

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever." He said laughing and waving her off as he jogged down the steps. "Pac, I'm serious!" She yelled from her porch. He simply just laughed. "I know Jay, I know." She heard him say before she rolled her eyes, smiling and going inside.

But she didn't know where he was going or what he was doing at the time.
