Killian's POV
Its been awhile since I spoke to Emma. I dont know why she doesnt trust me anymore. I told her something that my brother and father dont know and yet she cant trust that I wont leave her behind because she killed someone. There was a knock at my door and when I opened it there was Emma, Liam, and my father.
"What are you all doing here?" I ask him.
"We came to talk to you." Emma says to me.
"I told you to go away." I tell her.
"Killian! Dont be rude." My dad says.
"I have to go to work." I tell them.
"Can we please talk with you?" Liam asks.
"I guess so." I say.
I let them inside my place and Liam and my dad sat out the counter and Emma sat on the couch.
"Killian Im sorry I ran away from you and I would like to explain why, but I need to talk to you about it later." Emma says to me.
"I guess." I say.
"Killian we miss you. Please come home." My dad says.
"I cant I need something to give to someone." I tell him.
"Its okay. I have something for you." Emma says.
My dad and brother left to the kitchen and Emma handed me a check.
"20,000? Emma where did you get this?" I ask her.
"Well remember when I sad I killed someone. Well that person was my husband. He umm, he umm," she then stops and starts crying.
"Emma? He what?" I ask her.
"He killed our son. Some people knew about it others didnt. But I kinda killed him after he shot our son. I didnt really mean to. I kicked the gun and well it went off on him. Anyway, I was given 100,000 dollars and used non of it. I want you to have the 20,000 to get out of the thing." She says to me.
"Emma Im sorry that happened to you, but I dont know if I can take this money." I say to her.
"Please take it. Its proof that I do trust you Killian, please." She begs.
"I guess so." I say.
"Thanks. Oh and what I said at the town line we can just forget it. I was just reliving the past." She says.
I think she is lying. I think she still does love me. I know I hurt her by saying I dont love her anymore, but thats just because I cant forgive myself for leaving her in the first place.
