Last night I couldn't sleep.
Today I won't sleep.
Not even the today after.
Why?
Why the good ones and not the bad ones?
Why does life have to be so unfair?
Why him?
Why us?
Since yesterday from now on, I shall not sleep.
No blank spaces, no dark woods, no broken wings and no Wolf sleeping with a Rabbit.
Since yesterday from now on, I shall not lose anyone else.
My father...
My adoptive father...
He is a fireman
Well...was...
He died rescuing a robber that was stuck in a bank in flames. The paramedics took my father to the hospital because of the injuries. My mother and I raced to get into the hospital when we heard what happened. Once we go to the place, we had to wait.
It had passed 2 hours and we didn't know a thing about him.
But finally, a doctor showed up, giving us light to our darkness scenes. Giving us hope, that everything was fine, everything will be just fine.
But our smiles vanished when we saw the doctor walk toward us with a sorrow face.-Is he ok doctor?! How is he?! Can we see him?! - my mother asked while hugging me
-......excuse me for the words I'm about to say... I'm sorry for your lost. We tried everything, but he had a sharp metal on his chest...and...
We just collapsed to the floor.
With our eyes wide open.
And then, after what seemed to be an eternity, we cried.
The robber?
HE LOOKED LIKE A NEW BOOK
Not even a single scar on him!
My father did a good job on protecting him from the flames and the things that were In their surroundings until they get out. And yet, this is how he gets paid?!So why?
Why my father and not the robber?
I don't wish death to anyone but... Why?!
Why the hero? And not the enemy?
That's how my head is right now...
So here I am... Patting my mother's head while she cries on my lap, and my head screaming for an answer to the same question. And the worse... Is that the TV is on and the news of my father is coming up.
It would be logical if one of us go to turn off, but we can barely move... If this house were in flames too, we wouldn't move. We would die and see him again.
