CHAPTER 1
Karla's POV. 7:56am
I leaned my head against the inside of the car door, and thought about the multiple things going on in my super extra packed life. I am the adoptive daughter of famed reporters Clark Kent (A.K.A Superman) and Lois Lane, who found me in the orphanage just down the street from the Daily Planet. They apparently fell in love with my silky black hair and large, innocent brown eyes and welcomed me into the family at the young age of 10 months.
Ever since I, Karla Kent could walk, I was trained vigorously in all types of martial arts and weaponry by the Justice League. They taught me to take apart any type of gun, put it back together in 7 seconds flat, and I can wield any type of weapon ever made. I also have multiple black belts (judo, karate, tae kwon do, ect) and am a certified genius. I am anything but helpless. However at 14 years old, now, I felt nothing but helpless. Clark and Lois are leaving for a dangerous 10 year expedition, and I am to stay with Superman's best friend, Batman and his 14 year old son. Silent tears streamed down my face as my heart wrenched painfully. I'd miss my loving parents more than they could ever imagine.
"Screech!"
Abruptly, the car came to a stop and jarred me out of my thoughts. I slowly stepped out.
