Chapter 20: Bella

We continued to walk which took about an hour. Although, the walk felt like hours. Jared kept chatting with me. Listening to him talk made me know him a little better. Embry talked to the both of us. Jared seemed to stay glued by my side. Embry tried to step in between but Jared wouldn't let him. Madison has also gotten closer to me in friend wise. She had a great sense of humor and was very sarcastic. Paul kept quiet throughout the whole time. Sam would through in a few things but was quiet majority of the time. We kept walking until we got to the Reservation. The boys started shouting for Jacob who was inside. A girl marched out of the house and came towards us. I automatically recognized the girl as Bella. She looked pissed off. She came up and shoved Sam.

"What did you do?" She shouted in his face. Paul tried to step forward.

"Easy." Sam said darkly. I watched the scene slowly escalate. "What did Jacob tell you?"

"He won't tell me anything because he is scared of you." Bella shouted. Paul looked at Bella and started laughing. Embry and Jared fell in sync. Bella slammed her fist into Paul's face like I did earlier today. Paul's head turned as he started breathing heavily.

"Bella, stay back." Sam ordered. "Paul, you need to calm down."

"There is no turning back." Jared stated with a chuckle. Bella started running back as Paul transformed into a gray wolf. My legs moved in front of Bella as she took off running. I ripped the daggers out of the holster as my body started to tingle. Madison gasped slightly as she tensed. Sam cursed and tried to get everyone to step back. Another wolf appeared in front of my eyes without even noticing it. The two wolves wrestled breaking a boat and tumbled into the woods. My body continued to tingle which was a weird feeling. I closed my eyes and breathed in and out. The tingling finally subsided. I opened my eyes again when Sam started instructing orders.

"Embry, Jared. Take Bella back to Emily's house." He ordered. "Madi, you are coming with me."

"Alright." Madison agreed and followed after her older brother. Jared grinned at me while Embry walked over to Bella. I followed after him to see Bella running a shaky hand through her hair. We waited for her to get up so we could take her to wherever we were going.

We arrived to Emily's place. I hopped out of the bed of Bella's truck with Jared and waited for Bella to get out. Embry got out and walked to the front steps.

"Paul is going to win. He has more fighting experience." Jared betted with Embry.

"No way, did you see Jacob?" Embry asked. "He's a natural."

"Well, we don't care." I said with a smile. Bella just waited for whatever.

"Come on, Bella. We won't bite." Embry called for her. Jared rolled his eyes.

"Speak for yourself." He stated as he walked in. Bella glanced at me with wide eyes and opened the door. She walked beside me as we both walked in.

"Oh, by the way. Don't stare at Emily. Sam hates it." Embry warned. I raised my eyebrows at his warning. He walked into the house.

"Why would I stare?" Bella asked. I shrugged and walked inside. A girl stood by a counter with a big plate full of muffins. She turned around and placed the plate down at the table. She glanced up at the two of us and smiled. She had scars of scratches on the right side of her face.

"Who are these two?" She asked. The two boys grabbed a muffin before answering.

"That is Bella." Embry said pointing to the brunette beside me.

"Ah, so your the vampire girl." She stated. Bella nodded awkwardly.

"So, your the wolf girl." Bella responded awkwardly.

"Yeah." Emily said. "Who is the other one?"

"That is Avery Woodman." Embry said with a smirk. Jared glanced up with his mouth full.

"Oh, hello." Emily greeted. "So, you are Jared's imprint that is a hunter."

"What?" I asked confused. Jared started choking on his muffin while Embry started laughing.

"Oops." Emily said as she smiled. "We will tell you all about it later. Muffins?"

"Uh, yeah." Bella said. I nodded and slowly reached for a muffin while I stared at Jared. Embry said something about being able to read minds.

"Dude, shut up. This chick runs with vampires." Jared scolded Embry.

"Actually, I don't run with vampires." Bella said. "Because their fast."

"Yeah, well. We're faster." Jared stated seriously. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms. Sam came in and walked up to Emily. He kissed her and started kissing her face while she giggled. Paul came in with Madison and sat down. He turned around to Bella.

"Sorry." He said with a smirk and turned back around to eat a muffin. Jacob came in and leaned against the door frame.

"Jacob, are you alright?" Bella asked worriedly.

"He didn't even get a scratch on me." Jacob said cockily. I rolled my eyes at his cockiness. "Wanna go for a walk?"

"Yeah." Bella agreed leaving my side for his. I watched the two walk away. I felt eyes burning holes into my body. I glanced to the table to see everyone staring at me.

"What?" I hissed towards them. I shoved the muffin in my mouth and took a big bite. Everyone raised their eyebrows at me. Jared sighed and glanced at Madison.

"She knows because of Emily." Jared stated. Madison gasped and cheered.

"Yes, she knows." She shouted in happiness. "This is great."

"What the hell is imprinting?" I shouted. Curiosity gnawed at the flesh on my bones. Madison stared at Sam and Emily.

"An imprint is your soulmate. You are bound to be together." Madison explained. I gave her a dumb look. I started laughing as I clutched my stomach.

"Seriously?" I asked. Madison nodded. "Why didn't you just say that, Jared?"

"I-I don't know." Jared stuttered. He put his head down in shame. Embry patted his head and laughed. I checked the time and decided it would be best if I went home.

"I need to get home." I stated. Jared's head shot up. He stood up with his hands on the table.

"What? Now?" He asked. I nodded and started walking towards the door.

"Avery, you really shouldn't go out there alone." Sam stated. I tilted my head in confusion.

"Why not?" I asked. Paul started to growl slightly.

"Leeches." He muttered. A knock was heard from the door. I jumped and turned around to see my mother standing in the doorway.

"Who is ready to go after the red-headed bitch?"

Filler but OH SNAP! Avery is Jared's imprint. Oh my. What to do? Nothing. There is nothing you can do. Ahaha.
