Chapter 29: Perverts

The weekend flew by rather quickly than expected. I spent some of my time with Jared and the rest of the pack. Other times, I was by myself because Jared had patrolling. My mother hasn't been home which was weird. I tried my best to ignore it. I was also trying to ignore Absinthe who was telling me to have a make out session with Jared. I kept stating that if I make out with him then it might lead to 'it'. I am not ready for that kind of stuff yet. Honestly, I wasn't ready to go that far. I have never been that far with anyone, actually. I mean, I've had boyfriends before. They never tried to take it that far with me. Heck, I haven't even said the words 'I love you' to them. The only male I said them to was my father. I didn't want the words to go to waste. She continued nagged at me about everything. It was quite exhausting listening to her nag me about stuff.

I jumped out of the truck and slammed the door shut. I did my best to block out Absinthe who nagging me about something that I blocked out on the ride to school. My eyes caught a familiar car with my best friend in it. My eyes caught Lily walking with Payton and Drew like a lost puppy. I felt bad for her for some reason. Payton is a nice person. I don't think Payton knows her painful secret, though. I focused back on the car that parked next to my truck. The famous brunette stepped out and smiled when she saw me. A smile was drawn on my face as I approached her.

"Hey, how was it?" I asked. Edward came around the car and spared me a small smile. Bella gave the question some thought.

"It was good and depressing." She answered. I nodded and walked beside her. My eyes caught one of the shape-shifter's standing beside a motorcycle. I snickered at the thought of Jacob riding a motorcycle. Bella's eyes lit up when she saw her best male friend. He walked up and started talking to Bella.

"What are you doing here?" She asked. His eyes adverted to Edward.

"Look, I just came to warn you." He started. "If your kind steps onto our land again, we will kill you."

"Wait, what?" Bella asked confused. I was also confused. She sent me a look as I shrugged not knowing.

"You didn't tell her?" Jacob asked astonished. Edward clenched his jaw tightly.

"What is he talking about, Edward?" Bella asked.

"Emmett and Paul had a misunderstanding." Edward answered. I kept listening wanting to know what happened.

"Why didn't you tell her?" Jacob asked. I was confused about the whole telling Bella part. "I mean, that what the red-headed leech is after, right?"

"Victoria." Bella said. "Victoria was in town?"

"I didn't want to tell you, Bella." Edward stated. I grabbed my chest to calm my beating heart.

"Everyone is alright, right?" I butted in directing it towards Jacob. He nodded with a smile.

"You lied to me?" Bella shrieked. I sighed as I watched the scene escalate. Bella walked towards Jacob as she hopped onto his bike.

"What about me?" I shouted. Jacob laughed and shrugged.

"Meet you at Emily's, I guess." He said. I cheered and ran to my truck. I followed Jake out of the parking lot to Emily's place.
