Evelynn looked up at the stars searching for the constellations that she knew all too well. "Delphinus? Pegasus?" she called out, "Are you out there?", a Pegasus and a dolphin came down from the sky. Pegasus, known as Pakuna to her friends came down majestically, gently fluttering down from the dark night. Delphinus, or Dakara, came doing flips and fancy turns in her fun nature.
"Dear Evelynn, what could you possibly be doing out here? It's almost midnight for goodness sake!" Pakuna gently scolded in her elegant voice, rich like velvet.
"Pakuna! Let the girl live a little, she just finished her high school exams after all!" Dakara followed in her squeakier, high-pitched voice.
"Yes, but that doesn't mean she doesn't need sleep to survive! Despite being special, she is still very much mortal." Pakuna countered
"Pakuna, Dakara, I'm fine." Evelynn reassured, "It's not like this is abnormal for me to do now is it?"
"Even more the reason to worry!" Pakuna panicked, " A young teen like you needs her sleep! If this keeps up we'll have to stop answering your calls and beckons to us."
"But it's not like I can sleep anyways, whether I'm in my bed or out on this mountain top, I still can't manage to fall asleep until past midnight. That's why I'd rather be out here with you guys" Evelynn reasoned
Pakuna sighed, " You have a point there, you never seem to fall into the hands of slumber until long after the moon is at its highest."
"Now that that's settled, lets have some fun!" Dakara squealed
"Ok but it's best if we don't wake up the neighborhood like last time." Evelynn said, suppressing a giggle
"Agreed." Pakuna stated, " That was an utter disaster."
So the three went off playing their games under the blanket of the night sky with only the stars to guide their way. With Evelynn riding on Pakuna's star dotted back and Dakara following close behind doing her flips and fancy turns. They played until Evelynn felt drowsy and fell into the grasp of sleep. That is when Pakuna and Dakara returned their prized friend who had the gift to see beyond what others couldn't. They set her into her soft bed and went into the sky once again, awaiting for their next adventure.
A/N: like it so far? I know it seems like amateur work but it's just something I thought up of on the spot. If you have any suggestions feel free to comment and I might add it to the story. (assuming I don't abandon it in sheer laziness) anyways, see you in the next chapter!
