"Um..." Evelynn started, "I'm sorry Mrs. Tenachi I-"

" You know very well that devices are strictly forbidden here at GoldenBirch Miss Adams." Mrs. Tenachi said strongly, " Since you have broken two of our very important rules, you will have to be suspended and come back prepared another day."

Evelynn nodded somberly, " I understand. " she said.

"Well, until then Miss Adams." Mrs. Tenachi said primly.

And with that Evelynn left school with shame written on her face, the first time she's ever been suspended. "That won't look good on my permanent record" She said to herself, "Ugh, what do I do now?" She searched for the keys to her apartment, which she luckily brought along with her, and unlocked the door to her little apartment. A small kitchen leading into her bedroom, which was just big enough to fit a bed a desk and her game consoles. Her bathroom which was far from luxurious, and a closet that could just about fit all her clothes and junk. All the walls were a cream white, and all the furniture creamy greys and sharp blacks with the odd blue or red wall hanging. It was small, that's for sure, but it was home. She heard a soft ping and looked to see she got a text from her mom.

Hey honey. How's it going?

Oh sorry, you're probably still in school. Well I hope you do well. See you later!

"Oh man, mom's gonna be so disappointed." Evelynn muttered, "Well... best clean up since I almost never get a chance to do it and I can get a head start on the homework afterward."

A/N: Bit of a filler chapter but there was bound to be one one day.
