Evelynn just finished writing the last paragraph in her essay about potatoes, yes potatoes. It was kind of hard to fill three pages with information about potatoes, but she managed. She looked over to her digital clock beside her desk, holy potatoes, it's already six !  she thought, stuffing her freshly printed essay into her backpack. She headed over to her kitchen and turned on the stove, taking out some pans and ingredients. Ugh what to make?  She thought when she felt a tap on her shoulder.

"GAH!" she screamed flinging a pan at her attacker. But what she didn't expect to see was that the pan went straight through whatever it was, meaning... it was a ghost?

"Oh my God!" the ghost howled, " You're so easy to scare!"

"What the heck?!" Evelynn snapped "Who are you?!"

"Awww, you don't remember me?" the ghost said, pretending to be hurt, "It's Chuchip, your old buddy!"

Evelynn stood confused, "I don't know anybody named Chuchip." she said, scrunching up her nose.

"Well you used to call me Antler." the ghost replied.

"Antler?" Evelynn thought aloud, "But Antler was a stag. A ghost-stag."

The ghost suddenly morphed into a stag, it was Antler after all.

"Antler!" Evelynn shrieked, "It's really you! Its been too long!" Evelynn pulled Antler into a hug.

Antler laughed in his deep, melodious voice, "It has, darling. I missed you."

"Me too." Evelynn responded snuggling into the stags' fur.

"Soooo..... What are you cooking?" Antler asked innocently, "More importantly, can I have some?"

Evelynn laughed, "Always straight to the point, aren't you? Well I was going to cook some spaghetti, but since you're here I'll make some garden salad."

Antler looked satisfied, " I can live with that. "

They made the salad together, with Antler passing and gathering the ingredients and Evelynn making the salad. When they were done Evelynn put two plates of salad on the table along with one glass and one bowl of water.  To finish it off she put a whole carrot cake in the center of the table.

"Ahhh you know me so well." Antler said licking his lips.

wait do deer even have lips?  Evelynn thought to herself, "Yes I do Antler, yes I do..."

They ate the freshly made food in front of them and Antler managed to finish the whole carrot cake with Evelynn only having one slice.

"Wow darling, that was amazing! You are quite the cook, I should really come around more often." Antler said full of carrot cake and salad.

Evelynn laughed, "Yeah that would be nice, wanna help clean up?"

"Oh It would be my pleasure." and with a stomp of his hove the kitchen was spotless, "Now I'd love to stay longer but I must be getting back to the other spirits."

Evelynn nodded understandingly, "See you soon buddy."

"Farewell for now darling." Antler said, and with that he was gone, all except a little leaf made of silver and had an intricate design of a family of deer on it . Evelynn smiled, he always remembered to give her a present. Evelynn picked it up gingerly like it could  shatter at any moment, and she put it with her collection. A silver leaf, always with a different design on it, was always given to her whenever Antler came to visit. Antler was a master metal worker, so these were all handcrafted by the one and only Antler. "Thank you." Evelynn whispered softly, "Thank you my friend."
