I was in the woods, all alone, trying to control my dragon form. I thought of many things to turn me into a dragon. I wrote down in a little notebook about my attempts. Like, what worked in transforming me and what didn't. Only 1 thing worked so far and it was hard to control myself. Over the time it seemed I had evolved into a rare fire dragon. Real dragons were rare because usually Wyverns were more popular. I could be the only dragon shifter left. I heard of a dragon lurking around the region of Ru'an, but I didn't think it was a dragon-shifter like me. I at least hoped that if it was, it was much more experienced at transforming than me. I shook my head to free me of my thoughts. I wrote in my notebook again.

I sighed disappointedly and wished I could consult Lucinda for answers, but she was long gone. I leaned against a tree and twirled my hair around my finger. Zoey was out teaching Levin how to be a lord with Malachi of course tagging along. She was also checking to see who stayed. I felt tears begin to fall from my face. I missed Aphmau, and I was a rare creature believed to be a human. Eventually people would somehow find out and I wouldn't know what to do. Then, I heard rustling from the bushes. I got up and pulled out a golden broadsword that came with my armor. I aimed it at the bushes to see a girl my age with blonde hair and green eyes. She stared at me and was wearing a black tank top and gray pants. She was wearing spiked boots and a black headband. She was wearing a silver-chained amulet with a sapphire on the end. She threw a ruby amulet to me. Reluctantly, I put my sword away. "I am Pepper. I am a dragon-shifter to. Take this amulet and you will be able to control your dragon form. Just please aid me, I need shelter." The girl said. I nodded and helped her to my old home.
