The Trick

I made it to the place Jake wanted me to go to. It was our hide out we made when we were 14. It was a little house that we painted with navy-blue paint. I opened the sheet or our door to walk in and se Sally sitting by Jake. "Give her back". "I will if you promise to stay with me." he said in a whisper voice. I wanted Sally to go back so I nodded. "I promise". Jake let Sally go. She ran up to me and said "We'll come back". She ran out of the door and Jake told me to sit by him.

I had no idea where she was going. What if she never came back?? No, I can't lose my sister again. "What now, Jack?" "I don't know, bro". I hope she's going to be ok until I find her. All of the sudden Sally came running up to us. "Where's Alexa, Sally?" She pointed in the way we came from. I looked at Jack and said "We should go tomorrow". Jack nodded. "Come on, Sally, lets go back and get some rest from the big day we had". "Ok, Jeff." We all walked back to the house in complete silence. I went up to my room and sat on my bed. All I could think about was her. Is she ok? Will we find her? Will we find her ALIVE?? those questions ran through my head until I fell asleep. I t was about 5 A.M. when I woke up. Hmm.. maybe now would be the perfect time to go. I went to Jacks room and woke him up to come with me. "What the hell man? It's 5 in the morning!!" "It' the perfect time to go..." He got out of his bed and nodded. We ran downstairs to see Ben on the couch. "What are you guys doing so early?" "Getting my sister back." I whispered. "Alexa, what's wrong, where is she?" "Her old friend too her. She had to do it to get Sally back." The thought of it even made me sad. Ben whispered in my ear "Well I'm coming to." I nodded. We didn't need him but the more help the better. We all went in the kitchen to get knifes. After we all got the ones we wanted we headed out. After we went to where we were when Alexa had to go we ran in the direction Sally came from. After about 14 minutes of walking we came upon a navy-blue house with a black sheet as a door or something. I opened the door and saw Alexa, my sister lying on the wall, hopefully sleeping. She had a gag on and her hands were tied behind her back. I ran over to her and tried to wake her up. Eventully she woke up and looked at me with her eyes watery. I took off the gag and untied her hands. As soon as her hands were free she hugged me. "Its ok, I'm here" I whispered into her ear. "Jeff, you need to go now." I pulled back from our hug and looked at her. "Jeff go no.." She was interrupted by Jake walking in with a gun "So you fell for the trick" he said with a smirk. I had no idea where Ben went right now until I saw him behind Jake with a knife he told me to be quiet. "Alexa, promised she would stay with me. You can't have her". I started getting mad. "The only reason she did that is to make sure that Sally would be ok. She's my family not yours." Alexa looked a scared when I looked at her. Then I finally heard her whisper "Jake, just let me go with my brother". He yelled out "No, you have to stay with me, Alexa, we've been best friends to long for you to leave me. You should have just ran away from them. You should have came back to me." "Jake, there are my family my real family. I can't just run away from that." I looked at Jake and he put the gun in his pocket. "How do you know he's even your brother??" "He wouldn't have my picture and he wouldn't be treating me like he is if I wasn't." She got on her feet and went over by Jake. "You can't do this. I have to be with my family, Jake." It took me a second to remember that Ben was behind him. I made eye contact with him and hand-motioned him to step back. He did and then silently stepped over to the corner. When I did that it took me a while to notice that Alexa had ran out. Jack and Ben ran after her. So it was just me and Jake. I got up off the floor and stepped near him. "Leave my sister and everybody else alone." "Why?? She's living with you. I bet you'll turn on her one day and stab her!" "Jake, I would never do that to her." "Oh but you would do it to your brother." How the hell did he know?? My voice got lower when I said "That...was a long time ago and I knew that was a mistake but I would never hurt Alexa, So just leave us the fuck alone." I walked out and started walking towards the house but when I was almost to the house I saw Jack and Ben calling out Alexa's name. "Jeff have you seen Alexa back there?" Jack asked. "No. why?? where is she?" "I don't know she just ran off." Ben said is a loud voice. After a few more seconds Jack said I might know where she is.
