Chapter 11: History Came Back
Mark.
I tried to run, away from the person I hated as fast as I could.
"Whoa there honey, don't you want to come back into my arms?" He said smirking. I tried to scream, but Mark clapped a hand over my mouth and dragged me outside. Once we were, he finally let go of my mouth.
"Let go of me! Get away from me! I hate you, I hate you!" I pulled away violently, trying to pry off his hold on me. He frowned and grabbed my chin, making me face him.
"Feisty aren't we, sugar. You don't miss me?" I shook my head. "Then I'll make you." My eyes widened as his lips came smudging onto mine. Tears came pouring out of my eyes and I let out a cry. He held my face firmly and continued to kiss me. His tongue eventually found its' way inside of my mouth. I bit on his tongue, and the moment I did he pulled back and shoved me so that I came flopping down on my butt. I took my chance and ran. I ran the fastest I'd ever remembered running in my entire life.
"Hey, wait! You can't run away from me!"
"Oh yes I can." I whispered, sprinting even faster. I dared myself not to look back, because that would just slow me down. I finally came to a crosswalk that had many cars speeding along. I cringed at my bad luck and looked back. Mark was catching up, he was almost near me. I had to take the risk.
So I went, ducking cars with them beeping at me. I felt a surge of happiness in me as I made it to the other side in one piece, alive. Looking back to say something witty to Mark before running off again, I widened my eyes. He was doing the same thing as I was doing a couple of seconds ago. Of course, happiness doesn't last. I tried to start sprinting again but fell when Mark jumped on top of me.
I felt a surging pain in my back. So I looked back and saw Mark straddling my back, stabbing something into me. I could make out a... Knife?! I gasped before my mind started to swirl. My sight became blurry and...
Darkness.
♖Alec's POV♖
Why isn't Brianna coming back?! I started to pace around.
"Dude, what's wrong?" Ryan asked.
"Brianna. She's late. She went to the store right there, so she should've been back here by now." I pointed to the restaurant I saw the car go in some minutes ago. "And the car is still there. Why is she not coming out? It's been firkin 40 minutes!"
"Calm down, Alec." Ellen said as she grabbed me and held me in place. "But maybe we should go check on her. Y'know, just in case."
I nodded and headed towards the car, with the others trailing behind me. I knew something was wrong, I could feel it. But then again, it might be that I'm just paranoid and out of my mind.
We walked into the restaurant and was greeted by—no one. All the customers weren't there. "Hello?" Ben called out. After a while of waiting, a waitress with a white apron tied to her waist came shuffling out. Her face was pale, eyes wide, and she looked very scared. "Where is everyone?" Ben demanded, sounding scared as well.
"Th-there was a 'serial killer' around here, and he stabbed this girl nearby. And sh-she got carried to the am-ambulance, and the man was n-no longer there. Just the girl's b-b-body. Everyone got scared and th-they went into panic. That's how come no one is h-here." The girl stuttered. My eyes went wide.
"Did you see what this 'girl' looked like?!" I shouted, alarmed. The waitress nodded, and looked pretty shaken up by my sudden outburst.
"She had brown and long wavy hair, blue eyes, full lips that I assume we're pink before but were pretty pale at that time, and a curvy body." The waitress blurted. "I was serving her and getting her order right before it happened."
