Chapter 14: No More Nice Guy
👩🏼Ellen's POV🙆🏼
I shut my locker and saw Brianna and Alec walking together to class. Brianna was in her wheelchair while Alec pushed her.
I smiled and thought, they're SO cute together.
I could tell that Alec really loved Brianna by the way he looked at her. Hopefully one day, I'll get someone like that too. True love had always been my favorite dream.
I snapped back to reality and saw Brian walking by. He noticed me too and winked. I rolled my eyes, walked past him, then walked off to class.
After some classes, while I ate lunch with Brianna and the guys, Brian came storming up to me. I'd been avoiding him all day.
"Ok. What is wrong. Did I do something? Why are you avoiding me?!" He asked.
"I'm not avoiding you, and I'm totally not mad at you for not telling me that you were a rap—a rapper. (Yes, a rapper not a raper. I don't really want to confront him yet. I'm not ready.)" I replied.
"What? A...rapper? What do you mean?" And then his mouth shaped into an O. "Oh god. Did you—do you know? How do you know? Why do you know?" Brian blurted out questions after question.
I just held out a hand, singling 'stop', got up from the table, and grabbed my bag. Brianna yelled my name after me, but I just kept on walking.
😈Brian's POV👿
I watched as Ellen's a$$ bounced while she walked. My mind focused on what she had said. "I'm totally not mad at you for not telling me that you're a rap—a rapper." I smirked. So she knows now. I looked around at the table Ellen's friends sat at. The only girl left there was...Brianna or something, and I think I'd raped her before. I wasn't sure, since I'd raped so many girls before. No more nice guy.
"So... You're the raped girl." I said to Brianna. She stiffened up, and I laughed. Alec stood up and raised a fist. "Woah there, pretty boy. Lower your fist. I'll just be going now. See you, Brianna." I winked and smirked at her while Alec glared murderously at me. I calmly walked away with a new plan in mind.
🌸Brianna's POV🌸
"I-I'm scared." I whispered and leaned out of my wheelchair to hug Alec.
He looked at me and his face softened, before he leaned closer and hugged me back. "It's going to be okay. I'll—we'll all protect you. Right guys?" Alec lifted his face and looked at Jake, Matthew, Ben, and Ryan. They all nodded and smiled widely at me.
"Thank you," I said. "Here, since we're done with lunch, let's go and try to find Ellen." Wheeling my chair away from the table, I grabbed my bag and put it on the handles. Then I wheeled away with the guys right behind me, and started to look for Ellen.
"Ellen? Ellen? Where are you?" We all shouted for her until we came upon the girls' bathroom.
"She might be in there. I'm going to go check." I told everyone. Just as I guessed, I heard a weird noise come from one of the stalls. "Ellen? You in here?" I asked.
"B-Brianna?" A small voice could be heard between sobs.
"Please open up." I said, and one of the stall doors creaked open. When I entered, Ellen was sitting on the closed toilet seat with crumpled up, mascara-smudged toilet paper pile on the floor next to her. I internally cringed. Mascara was all over her cheeks, and her contour, highlight, and foundation was smudged beyond repair. Her hair was all messed up, some sticking here and there.
"Are you okay?" She laughed and shook her head. "Ellen," I sighed. "Why are you crying? You wanted to break up with him, right? And he understood that you know he's a raper. Didn't everything go accordingly?"
"Yeah, but... It's actually not about him. It's about you. I feel so bad, because I saw his face when I left. His face said revenge. And it would be on you if he were to. I don't want anything to happen to you, and I just, I would blame myself so much if something happened!" She explained.
I smiled. "You're so sweet Ellen, but I'm sure nothing will happen. If it does, don't blame yourself. For me, please. And also, we gotta fix you up, don't worry about me."
"Alright." Ellen wiped her tears off her face and grinned. She got up from the toilet, grabbed her bag, and walked out of the stall. She examined herself in the mirror after placing her bag on the counter. "I look like a mess!"
I chuckled. "Hmm... Maybe."
"But what am I gonna do? I didn't bring anything extra but lipstick."
"I got you girl." I took out my pack of makeup wipes and emergency makeup bag. Ellen sat down while I wiped her face makeup-free. Then I started her face all over again. First foundation, setting powder, contour, highlight, eyeshadow. Then mascara, eyeliner, lipstick, blush, setting spray. "Done." I told her after about 20 minutes.
Ellen watched herself in the mirror again. "Thanks, I look gorgeous." I giggled. "Let's go now."
"Yeah." I agreed and led her out. The boys were waiting.
"Ellen! I'm glad you're alright." Jake said and hugged her. Ellen raised her eyebrows but nonetheless hugged him back. I smirked.
"A new couple?" I whispered to Alec. He smirked and nodded.
"You're Miss Matchmaker, do your thang." He whispered back.

{Afterschool}
"Hey guys, can you wait a little? I wanna talk to all of you." I said to Matthew, Ben, Jake, Ryan, Alec, and Ellen. They nodded. "First, I need to talk to Ryan, Ben, Matthew, and Alec." I led them a little further from Ellen and Jake.
"What's up?" Matthew asked.
"Okay, so. I think Ellen and Jake have little crushes on each other. Personally I think it's the cutest thing ever, and I want to make them work. But I need your guys' help to do so. The plan is, I will ask all of you guys to go to a fancy dinner together. Matthew, Ben, and Ryan, you guys have to say that you can't go. Alec will say he can go. Then when it's the day, Alec and I will tell Jake and Ellen that we have to go somewhere real quick, and leave only the two of them there. Then you know, the two will do their thing and maybe share a kiss by the end of the day!" I finished.
"Okay, sure." The guys agreed.
We walked back over to Jake and Ellen. "Hey guys, I wanna invite all of you to a fancy dinner. On Saturday this week, can you guys go?" I asked.
"No, sorry." Ben replied.
"I can't, have plans." Ryan said.
"My mom told me to come somewhere that day." Matthew frowned.
"I can go." Alec said.
"I can go too." Ellen said, seemingly exited.
"Me too." Jake added.
"Alright, so Jake, Ellen, and Alec, I'll text you guys about it later today." I told everyone, then winked at Ryan, Matthew, and Ben.
