       Chapter 1

My name is Cheryl. It seems that I have the worst of luck.  My husband and my brother are working for this middle class man named Roger-Dean Banks. We call him Mr. Dean.  It's just my brother (Jesse) and my husband (Hunter) on their crew. They've been working on Mr. Dean's property for a few weeks now, so they are quite comfortable and know their way around the place. Laying brick and constructing is mainly what they have been doing the last few days other than painting on the inside of the five bedroom house.

Usually my husband takes his truck to work but me without a vehicle means we have to share. Today they were working on the main entrance gate. All wooded on each side with fifteen foot walls. I imagine it will be quite breath taking when it's finished. I was supposed to drop Hunter and Jesse off at work today but the job was only supposed to take an hour so the children and I waited in the truck for them to be done.

We were parked on the side of the road with the back of the truck facing Mr. Dean's house, I could clearly see them hard at work. A few minutes later, a few other men pulled up and parked adjacent from where our truck was on the side of the road.

I'm guessing it was the plumbers considering the equipment in the back of their truck along with their ass cracks hanging out. They load all of their tools and things onto the property walking underneath the unfinished gate. In the meantime as I'm waiting for Hunter and Jesse to be finished, I was trying to keep the kids occupied, with us just sitting there waiting they became bored and fussy and began to fight with each other.

As I'm trying to calm them down I begin to hear shouting and swears along with threats being thrown back and forth between a few men. I told the kids, "Hush guys" so I could hear better. I heard my husband Hunter saying, "Fuck you muther-fucker! I'll beat your ass right here!" Then I hear the plumber guys yelling back, "Bring it you piece of shit."

That pissed me off so bad, I don't know what happened but to hear someone talking to my brother and husband that way. Then I hear Jesse, "Your about to get the dog shit beat out of you." I turned around to look out of the truck window and I wish I wouldn't have. The kids could hear the yelling and swearing so I held them to me with my hands over their ears.

When I turned around, I could see my husband beating up one of the plumber guys. Hunter was standing over him as he's lying on the ground holding the top of his shirt as he's punching him. Each blow had to be at least knocking out a tooth or breaking a nose, Hunter is almost all muscle. I know it was such a horrible terrifying episode to watch but I just couldn't take my eyes away.

So immediately I look for Jesse and he's also swinging his fist toward the one that supposedly started all of this mess. Just when the other guys were almost knocked out from their beatings, I heard my brother say, " I've got something for you, you bitch ass punk." I saw him walk over to the pile of boards they were using and he picked up a 4x4 board and he grabbed a huge nail, I'm guessing it had to be around eight inches long, he walked over to where the man was laying on the ground...

I just kept thinking no, I know he wouldn't....he's not going to.... and just as I was hoping he wouldn't, Jesse took that board and layed it across the man's forehead, held it in place and drove the huge nail into his head. Each wack from that hammer had me cringing. I put my head down and silently began to cry because my brother is not a bad guy and I do not know what possessed him to do this. I picked my head back up and I saw Hunter grab one side of the board and Jesse grab the other side of the board and they picked the man up and placed him in the open gap on the inside of the gate.

They hurriedly started hammering up more boards so he wouldn't get out or no one would see him but knew for sure this guy was dead. They stuck cement over the cracks of the boards and when they were finished it looked as if it was a complete gate to a nice, cozy home. They came and sat in the truck ready to go home and I could only just stare at them in shock. "If you only knew what he said about you, then you would know why we did it." Hunter said with a look of sympathy.

Now, I know what my family would do to protect their family. Some just express it ways that other's don't.

Okay people, this is not the whole book. These stories are based on dreams or nightmares that I've had that I just need to get out because if I don't, they constantly stay on my mind! It's going to be utterly chaotic with each chapter as in bad luck each time she turns around!!  More chapters to come... Enjoy~Cheryl
