Movie Night

Kelani's POV
It's been a few days since I saw Kanani and I know that every day she's here she will try to make my life a living hell. After all she is my arch nemesis. I texted Amber to come over to hang out so I could forget about Kanani. After a few minutes Amber and Kayle knocked on my door. "What's Kayle doing here?" I asked politely. "We need to talk to you..." Kayle said. We walked up to my room and sat on my bed. "Ok what?" I asked. "Who was that girl we saw at Forever 21 and what happened?!" Kayle asked. "Ok fine I'll tell you. Her name is Kanani, she went to my school is Hawaii. I hate her more than anything in the entire world." I said "Why?" Amber and Kayle asked. "She toke everything away from me. I used to be well-liked, I had friends, a boyfriend, I was the lead in school plays, the best volleyball player at my school. But then Kanani came along, toke my boyfriend, started rumors, and tried to beat me  at anything she could. Especially volleyball my team went to the tournament and we were in first place and all we had to do was win that set and we would've won but Kanani spiked the ball into my face and I had to sit out so my team lost. She will try in all of her power to make my life a living hell." I said angrily. "Calm down we'll help you handle her and if I have to I'll beat her ass" Amber laughed. "Thanks Amber is but I'll probably beat you to it" I laughed. We relaxed and watched Netflix. "Do you like Mario?" Kayle asked me. "Yeah...but I doubt that'll ever happen" I said as I texted on my phone. "Dude he's totally into you. I notice how he's always around you and your always texting him on your phone. Like now!" Kayle said. I looked up from my phone and set it down. "Look I don't want to get into a relationship with Mario because Kanani will try her best to bring up the bad things about me so he breaks up with me and I really like him." I said. "Fine but it will happen sooner or later." They said to me. I unlocked my phone and started to text Mario again.

Kelani- hey sorry I'm back I was talking to Kayle and Amber.
Mario- It's all good. I was wondering if you wanted to get a bite to eat maybe some pizza?
Kelani- Sure can Amber and Jovani come too?
Mario- uh sure
Kelani- ok you can over and I'll order a pizza and the four of us can have a movie night.
Mario- Cool I'll be there at 6?
Kelani- Ok see you soon byeee💕
Mario- Bye❤️
Omg he put a red heart...what does that mean? Does that mean he likes me? Or is he just being friendly? Was he trying to ask me out on a date? I thought he was that's why I asked if Amber and Jovani could come along. I really don't want Kanani to ruin everything, I thought to myself. "What happened?" They asked me. "Uh Mario's coming over you and Jovani are going to hang out with us. We are gonna order a pizza and have a movie night. Please no kissing when Mario gets here cuz I DO NOT want him to think it's a date." I blurted out. "Wow girl, you really crushing on him." Kayle said. "Yeah....." I said quietly.
~Around 6:00pm~
I paced back in forth waited for Mario to get here. I'm usually good at hiding my emotions but even since I've seen Kanani I've been so uneasy. The doorbell rang, I took a deep breath, and looked through the peephole. It was just Jovani, I opened the door and greeted him. Jovani came inside and hugged Amber and they both sat down on the couch. The doorbell rang again. I opened the door, hugged Mario and we joined Amber and Jovani on the couch. I called and ordered a half cheese half pepperoni pizza and turned Netflix on the Xbox. We turned on a Kevin Hart movie and turned the lights off.
~30 minutes later~
I sat with my head leaning on Mario's shoulder. He didn't seem to mind and I was tired. The doorbell rang. I groaned and got up to open the door. "YAS PIZZA IM STARVING" Mario and Amber said. I set the pizza down and everyone grabbed a slice and sat back down on the couch. We continued the movie and after we finished eating. My eyes got heavy and I started to fall asleep.
