Chapter 7: Loving You Is My Downfall

Thor tried everything to avoid hitting Loki, but Loki did not return the favor. Each attack forceful than the other. Each hit nearly knocking Thor to the ground. "Loki!" Thor tries to speak with him again, but Loki was no longer listening to what Thor has to say. "Loki! Listen to me!" His plea fell on deaf ears. 

All that Loki could think of is how Thor had moved on so soon, and left him hanging when he was confused. Loki sees the colour red, right now, not seeing anything else, but his brothers death in his mind. Along with that, he thought of gaining the throne. Loki no longer cared for his brother/lover, all he can care about now is gaining the title of King. 

The Avengers are back in the palace, dealing with the Frost Giants that have invaded the place. "Well Hawkeye, looks like your time has come." Tony states. "Go full out Skyrim on these guys!" He calls out. "Just don't die like you do in the game." He adds, earning a glare from the other hero. 

"I don't always die in the game!" Hawkeye protests. 

"You're right, you don't even get the chance to start the game." Tony state with a slight chuckle. Hawkeye glares at Tony. 

"Boys, enough! More fighting bad guys, less fighting each other." Widow jumps in. "Or i'll take your game privilages away." She threatens. 

"Uh who gave you permission to be my mother?" Tony asks.

Loki slams Thor into the ground. Thor lays there, unable to move, not wanting to strike Loki. "You see Thor? Your clouded mind keeps you from being able to protect Asgard, you are not fit to be King of Asgard!" Loki calls out. "I am the Superior one!" He adds. Loki is about to take another swing at Thor but is stopped by Thor. Thor holds Loki by the wrist. "Release me!" Loki demands. Thor does not listen, instead he pulls Loki into his arms and holds him tight. "Release me!" Loki shouts now.

"No." Thor replies and keeps holding him but soon is tricked. Loki has used magic to escape Thors grip.

"You have lost your chance." Loki states.

"Loki please look at what you have started and look what you are willing to do for it." Thor pleads. "Is this because I thought you dead?" He asks.

"No, you simply moved on, therefore I am able to take the throne from someone that is not suited for it!" Loki replies. 

"Loki your thoughts and mind are clouded!" Thor replies. "How could I have stayed in love with you when I thought you dead?" He asks. 

"Exactly!" Loki replies blasting Thor with an attack spell. Thor crashes into the ground, creating a crater. Loki looks in amusement of his accomplishment. "I don't care who wins today, as long as I take a throne!" He adds. 

"Loki this is madness!" Thor shouts at him, in disbelief of what he is seeing. 

"No, this is Marvelous!" Loki announces and is ready to attack Thor again, but this time his hit was countered. Loki falls right onto the ground, blood coming from his mouth. Loki looks up in disbelief at the one who had managed to lay a blow on him, Thor. "So, you have finally decided to be a true man and actually fight." Loki comments as he tries to get up.

"No." Thor replies as he pushes Loki back down to the ground. "I chose to protect you from yourself." He states as he extends a hand to Loki. "Loki, don't do this." 

Loki looks to Thor confused and lost. "What kind of tactic is this?" He asks. 

"None, just me being honest." Thor replies, still keeping his hand extended out towards him. "Loki, please." He pleads, hoping Loki would take his offer. 

Loki scuffs and shoves Thors hand away. "Your pleading won't help you!" He states before landing a blow on Thor, sending him flying. 

"Look, guys, I love being able to show off my moves and everything but isn't anyone else here getting tired?" Tony asks as he tries to take down a Frost Giant. 

"You are in a metal suit, what are you complaining about?" Fiery asks as he slips pass one giant and blows it's foot off. 

"I am ju-" Tony is interrupted by a sudden incounter from behind. When Tony gets back up on his feet, he sees it was Thor. "What the hell? You are suppose to be kicking his ass, not getting kicked." He states.

"I will not harm my brother." Thor states.

"Oh but you'll date him?" Tony asks. Thor glares at his friend. 

"You do not understand." Thor states annoyed. 

"Oh I do, I understand that you became the bitch in the relationship. What are you now going to wearith your mothers drapes?" Tony replies.

"Do not-" 

"Do not what? Say anything? Thor you are getting your ass kicked by a man dressed as a woman." Tony states.

Thor says nothing but goes back to fighting with Loki. Or rather tries to speak with him. Tony groans in irritation. 

"Did you just seriously say Loki was wearing his mothers clothes?" Natasha asks as she also manages to trip a frost giant. 

"He's wearing a dress with legging on." Tony implies. 

"Hey, guys, Frost Giants,trying to destroy Asgard, remember?" Hawk-eye butts in. 

"Oh hey Clint when did you get here?" Tony asks, earning a growl. "You don't sound to good, maybe you should go home and eat some Chicken Noodle soup.." He adds and goes back to focusing on the Frost Giants.

Thor grabs ahold of Lokis arm and pull him close. "Why won't you listen to me?" He growls.Loki says nothing but looks at him. "Answer me!" Thor demands, but still no responds."Loki, do you not realize how hard it is for me to fight you? I do not want to hurt you." 

"That's a lie." Loki replies. "You've wanted to hurt me from the very beginning." he states.

"What do you mean?" Thor asks. 

"You get everything!" Loki now shouts as he shoves his brother away. "The throne, fathers love, and anyone you want. But me, i'm nothing more than garbage, I am nothing to you or anyone!" HE screams.

"Loki, that is not true." Thor argues. 

"Tell that to that woman you love that is on Earth!" Loki responds.

"I thought you dead!" Thor yells back.

"And did you really morn for me? Did you truly mourn over my death?" Loki asks.

"I did." Thor replies. "I never stopped." 

"Till you went back to her!" Loki finishes for Thor, who shakes his head in denial.

"Loki, I could never forget you." Thor states.

"But you did!" Loki shouts as he hits Thor with another blast, which was countered by a hit from Thors hammer. 

"Loki, I will not fight you. If loving you is my downfall, than so be it." Thor states as he watches Loki raise his staff, he waits for the attack. Thor closes his eyes, and memories of the two laughing, kissing, and talking all came to him. Thor smiles at the memories, knowing that the Loki he sees in his memories is still inside the one standing inf ront of him, about to lay the final blow, ending the whole fight.
