~Y/N's P.O.V.~
"Y/N, can you carry your brother for a while? I need to answer the phone." mom said. I nodded and took baby Chuck in my arms he just came out of the hospital from my mother's womb. He laughs whenever I hold him.
But now he's crying.
What's wrong? I thought.
"Mommy!" I called. Then my mom came, crying. I was so confused of what's happening.
"Y/N... Your father" she stopped what's wrong with dad? "He didn't make it." she said letting out more tears. Even though I was only 4 years old I understand everything.
After a while there was a knock on the door. I saw a woman. She was about my mom's age but older a little.
"Y-Y/N? You would stay with Dr. Ava Paige starting from today." mom said.
"But, why?" I said shocked. Mom took Chuck from me.
"The earth is about to be scorched, Y/N" the woman who I now know as Dr. Ava Paige said. I knew that but why now.
I was about to hesitate when my mom said...
"Please Y/N. We... We don't need you here anymore. W-we hate you!" not trying to make eye contact with me.
I felt a tear roll down on both sides of my cheek nonstop. I turned around and suddenly hugged Dr. Ava Paige with no apparent reason.
She took me and we went to a helicopter.
After a long flight we landed on what seemed like an organization's headquarters. I was really astounded by the massiveness of the building.
I didn't realize I was to obvious of being in awe.
"You like it?" Ava asked. I nodded. I was truly amazed of the structure.
"Y/N?" she called I faced her not saying anything. "From now on, can you call me mom? Please, please. I never had a daughter." she said suddenly crying. I can't really stand crying. I mean, I am just an ordinary 4 year old.
I hugged her. "Okay." was all I said.
"Y/N I hope you will like it here." she said not crying anymore.
"Where is here?" I said pointing at the humongous building.
"WICKED Headquarters... Now let's come in." she said and pulled me playfully inside. I was greeted by people in white lab coats. They waved their hands at me and bowed at Av- I mean mom. She's probably some important person here.
She took me to a big room where there are some scientist things. A syringe was there on one table with other medical equipments.
"W-what are you g-gonna d-do to m-me?!" I said stammering, panicking, and scared all at the same time.
"Don't worry, sweety. This will definetly not sting. Just be a brave little girl." was all she said before poking the syringe on me and blacked out.
