Masters and Servants

The streets of Fuyuki bustled in activity. It's only natural I suppose. The past five weeks have been drenched with people mysteriously falling ill. Everyone is afraid. Ambulances had been brought in from outside cities. It may have something to do with this Holy Grail War. Something went wrong and now every master has multiple servants. The church, as a result, has suspended the war until they can uncover the problem.

Two weeks into the suspension, one of the masters put together a meeting between the masters and servants. Oddly enough, a majority of masters were foreign.

The first master was Kariya Matou II. Son of Sakura Matou and named after his "grand uncle", Kariya was a quiet and unfeeling boy. Other than when he increases his servants' power, he seems to rely heavily upon their loyalty to carry out orders.His servants are Lancelot, Medusa, Saber Alter, and Jack the Ripper. As I understand it, Medusa and Saber Alter have been trying to seduce Lancelot and claim Jack as their child. I somewhat pity Lancelot. He, Gawain and Diarmuid have been getting overwhelmed by all the female servants.

The second master is Fredrick Bismarck. Astonishingly military oriented, he has all but occupied the northern part of Fuyuki. He had summoned Robin Hood, Karna, Vlad III, Siegfried, and Achilles. Though he generally has things going his way, even he is having trouble with his servants. Both Achilles and Robin Hood evidently rush off whenever they please to hit on the servants of the fairer sex. Arrows from Atalanta and swords from Lily and Alter suggests that they fail.

The third master is Zachary Forrest. Quite proud of his position as the first US master, he generally allows his servants to do as they wish. His servants are Diarmuid, Cu Cuchurin, Atalanta, and Elizabeth Báthory. I here Diarmuid's love spot is causing his team some trouble. Especially due to Elizabeth's eccentricities.

The fourth master is Emily Erickson. Her residence was destroyed by Bismarck. As a result, she is currently living with me. She's a bigger tsundere than my mother; she makes it clear she hates me, and yet she keeps demanding we share a "masters only room". Her servants are Medea, Nero, Lily, and Mordred. They make it impossible to have an easy relationship with any of my servants.

Fifth is Yggdmillenia, just Yggdmillenia. He organized the meeting, and clearly is numbers oriented. His servants are Darius III, Hassan, Gilles de Rais, Avicebron, and Genghis Khan. He seems hellbent on fulfilling Darius's wish, which is to have a rematch with Alexander. His only trouble seems to be with Gilles, who constantly visits my home to see Jeanne.

Sixth is Matthew Edelfelt. A proud man, he wishes to participate in the greatest battle of all time. I assume that's why he was so pleased with his servants. They were Alexander, Gilgamesh, Gawain, Emiya, and Shakespeare. So happy is he with his summoning, that he has essentially surrendered all authority to Alexander and Gilgamesh.

Finally there is me, Sasuke Emiya. I am the son of Shirou and Rin Emiya, the victors of the last war. My servants are Artoria, Jeanne, Hercules, and Enkidu. I'm currently trying to live up to the expectations of an Einzbern and a Tohsaka. Unfortunately, due to letting Erickson stay with me, my relationship with my servants is strained. Artoria is the prime target of all Emily's servants, Lily is distracting Enkidu, Nero is persecuting Jeanne, and Hercules is constantly getting dueled by Mordred. My dad told me to just go with it for now.

"Master, we're nearing Einzbern castle.", Jeanne reported.

Surely enough, we had reached it. Not far off I saw Enkidu organizing flowers on a grave. Hercules stood on, the face of regret and frustration.
