The Matou Household

I approached Hercules wearily. Though I could communicate with him, he is still a Berserker. I lack enough control of my servants as it is, but a Berserker? Hopeless.

"How's aunt Illya?", I inquired. A terrible start, yet a start all the same.

The dark behemoth growled lowly. It resembled the pur of a cat. I, however, am not so stupid to outright say so.

"So I was hoping we could go home together. I may need your help at the house."

Hercules stood still. His eyes radiated a sense of death. His fists clenched tightly. It was obvious that he resented me as a master and having to live with Mordred and Medea of all people. I turned to Enkidu for help. Luckily, he picked up on my plea.

"Come on, Hercules. I'm sure Artoria will give you a more focused duel.", Enkidu smiled heartily.

Hercules still didn't budge. I did, however, notice a change in his demeanor.

"You know if you don't go back soon, then Mordred may get your sword again."

Enkidu was a bloody genius. Almost immediately, Hercules roared violently into the air. In a flash, my Berserker rushed off to defend his sword. I turned to Enkidu.

"Thanks."

"It was simple," Enkidu smugly responded.

"Simple? He was about to tear my arms off! All you did was bring up Mordred.", I pressed.

"Oh?", Enkidu melodramatically said, "Would you prefer if I brought up his annoyance of you instead?"

Well shoot. He had a point. I could've been killed with ease, but Mordred? She wouldn't fall that easily. In fact, Mordred would welcome a fight.

"As if I'd be that suicidal.", I remarked, "Come on, I got him so we could fix the house, not finish it off."

My two servants nodded eagerly. Confirming everything was in order, we set off to reach Hercules.

I did know of a shortcut to my house, but it isn't advisable to go by it. The Matou mansion. A dark place already, it grew even more ominous after Kariya summoned his servants. I have been told it had been much worse when his great grandfather was still alive. Rumors of parasitic worms and vile monsters were common. Though my parents did bring me there to visit my aunt, I never found anything to vindicate the rumors. This does not, however, imply I don't believe them.

Rushing forward, I led Jeanne and Enkidu down toward the Matou's. I should be capable of speeding past without getting stopped. I certainly didn't want to visit. I pushed on at top speed, sprinting down the way. I caught only a blur of the mansion, a dark place overrun with vines. Reaching the the corner, I was free. Alas, it didn't last. I suppose I should have looked back at my servants. Only Enkidu had managed to keep up. I turned back, not even waiting for Enkidu to follow.

What I found was something I hadn't expected: Jack the Ripper was burying her face into Jeanne's breasts. Trying not to balk, I looked over to Enkidu, who had just arrived at the scene. His eyes went wide and his cheeks turned luminescent red.

"We want French mommy.", Jack said in her creepy third person speak. Jeanne's was frozen in shock. Her eyes reeled chaotically. She was freed of her paralysis by a loud voice originating from the mansion.

"Jack!", Saber Alter yelled out,"Come back here!"

The teenage girl replied in a rebellious voice,"We want French mommy!"

"Sweetie, you already have a mommy. A British mommy at that. Am I not good enough?"

"No..."

Alter stood there slack jawed. Jack's statement crushed her. And why would it not? A child rejecting their mother must be a soul crushing experience. It was at this time Kariya appeared trailed by Medusa and Lancelot.

"What the hell is going on here?", Kariya just barely held back his fury.

Alter didn't bother answering, instead she rushed into Lancelot's arms. It was hard to tell if she was faking or not. Either way, Lancelot consoled her grief, ignoring Medusa's pointed glare.

"Well, Emiya? What happened?", Kariya exploded. It didn't occur to me he was speaking to me. I opened my mouth to respond but Jack spoke ahead of me.

"We are staying with French mommy", Jack declared.

Kariya coldly glared at me.

"Is that so? Servants! Kill him and bring me his command seals!"

...

......

............

Nobody moved. Alter continued to feign sadness to Lancelot while Jack continued to intrude upon Jeanne's personal space. Medusa looked over me, but in general ignored my worth as a target. It would seem I am not the only master who can't control their servants.

"I'm afraid my dark king requires me at the moment. My apologies, master", Lancelot spoke, "Also Jack, you and Alter hail from the same land. Even if that doesn't satisfy you, know that I am of France and thus your desire to switch masters is unnecessary."

Well shoot. When not in Berserker mode, Lancelot is one heck of a smooth talker. Jack loosened her grip on Jeanne. She looked to the ground in thought, it was clear she was really trying to process his argument. Then Jack released Jeanne and immediately ran over to the black knight. She took his hand in her own very gently. Then with surprising strength pulled Lancelot a bit too closely to Jeanne.

"French parents!", Jack happily announced.

Everyone lost it. Alter and Medusa frantically tried to take their teammates from Jeanne. Kariya clearly lost all patience. Enkidu, of course, giggled brightly at the turn of events. What is happening?

Kariya finally ended the scene, "Everyone back inside! NOW!"

To add force to his order, he brandished his command seals. Whether he has control or no, a command seal is still fully capable of forcing an order, in this case: suicide. His servants did not dare challenge his threat. They knew him well enough for that much sound judgement. Silently they scurried back to the Matou house.

"Emiya. Stay away from my servants. It's hard enough dealing with them.", Kariya hissed.

"Alright. I'll try. But just in case I can't, please tell Lancelot he might have a visitor later", I retorted. Remembering Artoria, I thought perhaps if her favorite knight got in on it, he can save her from Medea.

Without a word he stormed off to his house. I didn't have time to check on Jeanne. As much as I would like to, a smoke cloud appeared from my house. Crap, Mordred really did find Hercules' sword.
