JUSTINS POV
(This is three weeks after Selena had the dream)
It was bright, way too bright. I groaned opening my eyes, dam I must've forgotten to close the curtains last night. I stretch out my body, reaching over to my bedside table to grab my phone. I immediately regret turning it off last night, as I was trying to study with out distractions. Sarah has been texting me all through out the night, and she doesn't seem happy.
Sarah: Justin, baby you should come over tonight ;) Sarah: Justin?
This contined until about one in the morning, when she began to get angry.
Sarah: Justin stop ignoring me it's not even funny anymore.
Sarah: I am going to kick your ass soo bad tomorrow.
Sarah: what ever, your a dick, goodnight.
It didn't stop there though, I sigh, continuing to scroll through the threatening texts, and that's when I spot one out of the blue.
Sally: Justin you better stay away from that Selena chick that you have made friends with in the past few weeks, she's not someone you should be hanging around with, trust me.
I frown, Sally has always been known to mess with relationships, she's Sarah's little understudy. All Sally does is follow her around like a lost puppy, doing what ever Sarah says.
What confuses me the most about the message, is the fact that I haven't spoken to Selena for at least a month. The last time we had a conversation was three weeks ago when I invited her to hang out with me and my friends. She came back the next day acting all weird, Sarah said she has bad dreams, and that's all I could believe considering she couldn't even make eye contact with me.
After that I just gave up trying, Selena is a beautiful girl and she's nice I guess, when she's not trying to threaten me in any sort of way. But we are so different from each other, practically the opposite, and I don't see how us being friends could ever work out.
After I'm dressed and ready to walk out the door, I make my way out to find my old ford pick up parked on the curb. The big blue truck is usually sandwiched between mom and dad's small cars, but they seem to have already left for work. I jump in, tossing my bag into the passenger seat and rev up the engine. I'm not the fancy sports car type of guy, I prefer simple, although my girlfriend begs to differ.
As I am driving along, I tap my fingers against the steering wheel, trying to accompany my own beat in my head, when I notice someone walking on the footpath beside the road. She seems so perfect in my eyes, her long hair cascades down her back, almost like a waterfall, the red bandana wrapped around her head is the only color that is evident in her outfit. The rest being black skinny jeans, a white tee shirt, overlapped with a black cardigan and doc martins. I smile to myself when I notice that it's "her". Before I can control myself, my truck rolls to a stop beside her. Her ear phones are immediately pulled out of her ears, and she glances over in my direction, her beautiful brown eyes meet mine.
Selena: I was right, a stalker is following me.
I laugh at her greeting.
Justin: what are you doing?
Selena: well I was walking, until an asshole rudely disturbed me.
Justin: school is almost three miles away.
Selena: so? I do it every other morning.
Justin: then I guess you'll just have to get used to my passenger seat.
Selena: who said I was getting in?
Justin: are we really going to argue about this? Just get in.
I sigh, waiting for another great comeback, but am instantly surprised when she strolls over to the truck, and pulls open the door.
Selena: take your shit
She throws my bag onto my lap and leans back into the chair.
Justin: you can't be a bitch when your in my car alright?
Selena: not making any promises.
She takes in her surroundings, her eyes scanning the interior of the entire truck.
Selena: this truck- it's sick
Justin: really?
My eye brows furrow and I look in her direction.
Selena: yes! Oh my goodness this is the coolest thing.
Justin: your not the sports car type?
Selena: hell no, that shits all fake, this however is amazing.
I laugh at her comment, and glance over at her. Honestly this is the first time I've seen her smile since I've met her, it lights up the room, it's the most perfect thing I've ever seen.
Justin: do you have a car?
Selena: no, I don't have my license.
Justin: really?
Selena: nope
Justin: I should teach you.
Selena: really? In this?
She begins to get excited, which causes me to laugh again. Man this girl makes me smile from ear to ear all day long.
Justin: of course
She let's out a tiny squeal of joy, making me throw my head back in fits of laughter. For once in my life, I feel like I'm switching off, it's amazing, it's a perfect feeling, but it only ever comes when I'm with her.
