Chapter 1

My name is Samantha Collin and I'm seventeen years old. I'm from Louisiana, I live in a small town. First, I should tell you what I look like. There's nothing much to say about me, my height is 5'1. I have black hair and blue eyes. Social wise I have few friends they mean a lot to me. I go to Gator High School. I know it may sound strange but around here there's tons of gators where I'm from, we have swamp everywhere. It's the only reason why our school has such a strange name.  I should say  todays the day it all begins, I finally face senior year. Since Freshmen year I've been dreaming about this day.  I've been up since four in the morning I have these crazy dreams every night. They're only getting worse. As I start to clear my thoughts I walk outside. ''Hey Sam Sam," my best friend Casey says. She's been calling me by that name since the second grade. "Hey Case." I say," are you ready for our big year?"

She jumps up a little  "I don't care," she said " are you ready?"  Although, she acts as if she doesn't care but deep down I know she's excited. "of course I am."  I walk down my steps and we start to walk to school.   I guess you can say we're lucky, we live near the school.  " Well are you ready to get our schedule for this year?" She replies. We start to head to the office, as we enter the office Mrs. Boudreaux looks up and smiles. "Hey Casey  Hey Samantha, I already have your schedules." Mrs. Boudreaux replies. "Thank you" we say. As I looked over my schedule I see me and Casey have every class together. Casey looks up and smiles at me "well this year is going to be fun." I laugh at her. We walk down the hall  "Hey Freak" someone from my grade says. "leave her a lone idiot" Casey shots back. I roll my eyes, sometimes you have to let those things roll in one ear out the other. "Don't let that idiot get to you sam."  Casey says with a stern look "today is your day don't let anyone bring you down." I smile at her. "Its ok case, i'm use to it." Although, in my head I knew this year is going to be tough.  We start to walk to first period, everybody was rushing. I accidently bumped in to someone "im so sorry!" I say. When I looked up to see who it was, whoever it was had already disappeared.  "well that was strange usually people would yell at you" Casey says.  I shake my head " I know maybe they didn't realize it was me" I reply. I look at Casey "lets go we don't want to be late the first day." We head to our first class  " well senior year finally begins." I say. Casey smiles "you're right about that."
