What the Fuck Happened

The next morning Layla got up and did her usual making breakfast. She wasn't going to be home for the next few days because they had a tour and she was worried that while she was gone that Allison might actually hurt Kailin. But she did her best to ignore it because it was her last day with the girls for a week. So she was making them their last breakfast before she leaves she had concert tonight and then in the morning really early she would be leaving for Texas. The girls came out one by one slowly as they sat at their huge kitchen table and watched her finish up. Then they all made their breakfast plates and ate in silence until Layla spoke "why is everyone so quite" "we are not being quite there is just nothing to talk about " Allison replied " so we are just gonna sit in silence then" Layla said "well that's boring" she finished her food waited for Liam to finish and then they went into their room. The rest of the girls continued eating when Kailin finally asked " aren't we going to tell her" "tell her what" Hayley asked she had forgotten what they were hiding from Layla. Caroline sighed "what we have planned for her going away party" "ohhhhh" Hayley said " wait what do we have planned" " we are going to have a girls day we canceled all her plans today and she has no idea so we kinda have to tell her before she leaves" Allison turning to Caroline because this was all Caroline's idea "fine I'll tell her" Caroline sighed. She left to go talk to Layla when they all heard Layla scream. Caroline and the rest of the girls ran down the hallway and burst into Layla's room where she was standing over Liam who was collapsed on the floor "what the hell is going on" Allison said loudly Layla was so shocked she couldn't say anything and right about then was when Harry joined them "hey what's all the..." he stopped talking when he saw Liam he froze as Hayley called an ambulance. They came and Layla asked Kailin to watch the girls so she could go to the hospital. When the rest of them had left it was Kailin and Allison left home. Harry Layla and Hayley had went in the ambulance and Caroline and Ryan had taken Layla's vehicle to the hospital so they had a way to get home. So they sat there just the two of them in silence Ally was watching Jaclyn for Caroline. So Kailin and her sat in silence processing what had happened for about an hour when Kailin finally spoke up and said " what the hell just happened" "I honestly have no idea" Ally relied just as confused as Kailin. "Ok not to change the subject or anything but why do fucking hate me" Kailin blurted out without thinking. "What" Ally said almost angrily " why do you hate so much" Kailin replied "let's not talk about it" Allison said a little annoyed. "Why" Kailin said "because right now we should be waiting for a phone call saying that for Layla's and the twins sake that Liam is awake and will be alive" Allison said she was definitely mad now so she took Jaclyn and Darcy to her room so she didn't have to hurt Kailin by accident.

When they did finally get a phone call it wasn't Layla it was Caroline "hey I called the babysitter you guys need to come here once she is here I'll explain later k" "k" Allison said as she hung up she took the girls back into the living where Kailin and the twins still were "hey you need to get ready to go to the hospital Caroline said we have to get there soon she called the babysitter something is seriously wrong she sounded scared and she is never scared when she calls me" "ok I'll go change quick" Kailin jumped up and ran to her bedroom and changed when she came back to the living room the babysitter Tiffany was there and Allison had given her instructions on what to do with the babies. It was now 4 o'clock and they were headed to the hospital when they got there they could tell something was wrong because Caroline was waiting for them and Hayley wasn't with her and Hayley didn't like being alone with Harry she always felt awkward. When they got to Caroline it was obvious that she had been crying and was trying to hide it. Allison knew she had been crying so she asked "what's wrong" Caroline couldn't speak she just motioned for them to follow her and when they got to the elevator Harry was there. "You guys better hurry" he said as they all got in the elevator "ok what the hell is going on" Allison said in a scared voice Caroline couldn't look at her or Kailin when she finally answered "There is something seriously wrong" Caroline said as the elevator doors opened they followed her down the hall to a waiting room they weren't sure what part of the hospital they were in but when they got in the waiting the only ones in there were Hayley Louis Ryan and Niall. Hayley had definitely been crying when they got in the room and could see her so they took a seat as Caroline prepared her self for what she had to tell them so she stood up in front of them as Harry sat next to Ally and took her hand in his when Caroline finally opened her mouth and was about to speak when Kailin interrupted her "where is Layla" Caroline's face seemed to drop as Hayley started crying again then she said "shortly after we got here they asked Layla what might have happened and she didn't know any of the answers as to what could have cause this so while they were running tests on Liam she was walking around she wouldn't sit down or eat anything and she kept saying that her stomach hurt but she was blaming it on stress then her and Hayley started to talk about the last time she had been at a hospital and been this worried like they were talking about there cousin that had passed a few years ago in a hospital and while she was talking Hayley stood up because she was going to go to the bathroom Layla went to follow her and then she collapsed Niall barely caught her before her head hit the ground and then she was unresponsive and she wasn't breathing so we called the nursed in quickly " Caroline started crying "They took her away just like they did to Liam when we got here" the other started to cry along with Caroline and Hayley who was a total mess. Harry just held Ally because they were all just crying and Caroline and Kailin were trying to convince Hayley that everything was going to be OK even though they were doubting what they were saying because who just collapses for no reason and isn't just a coincidence that they both collapsed within a few hours of each other. When they nurses finally came back through the door they wanted to talk to all of them but they were mostly asking Hayley questions because she had been with Layla the entire time when they had flown home for a couple days so maybe she knew of something that they had eaten or taken. So they started asking them questions when Hayley got a phone call it was her mom she wanted to know why Layla's concert had been canceled and Hayley told her to tell the rest of the family to fly out to LA because their was something seriously worn so the whole family was going to fly out. The nurse that was a fat old lady looked at Hayley and said "do you know of anything that they could have done to make this happen remember even if it was illegal we need to no in order to treat you cousin" Hayley straightened up and she looked angry " no my cousin didn't do drugs and neither did her boyfriend so if you're to be a bitch about helping them then I'm going to ask for a different nurse" she was clenching her fist when Caroline look at her so she held her hand in order to calm her down "I don't know what the fuck happened otherwise I would tell you" she was yelling now so Allison told the nurse that they didn't know so she asked her to leave. "I don't get it they were fine this morning" Allison said Harry sighed "we might know why " he was motioning between him Niall and Louis. Allison looked confused "what are you talking about" Harry answered with a question "weren't they acting a little strange this morning" "no they just didn't like how quiet it was" Allison said "Ya but they asked why it was so quiet but then continued to be quite right" Louis said " Ya I guess " Caroline added "well then they did what they do before every concert" Niall added the girls all looked confused "what do you mean" Hayley said " ever since Layla joined the band Liam and her have been trying to find ways to make her get over her stage freight" Louis explained "no she told us that when she is with Liam she isn't scared anymore" Kailin said "well she was lying they have been trying things for every concert and they found this weird drug that makes them not scared but they have been been using it for a few weeks so it's fine that's shouldn't be the problem here" Louis finished " so you're saying that Layla is doing drugs" Hayley said a little angry. "Uh pretty much" Harry replied "well you have to tell the doctor" Caroline said "we don't know what the drug is we will have to go to your house to find it first" Louis said as he grabbed Niall and pulled him out of the room Niall grabbed Layla's keys as Louis pulled him out of the room.

When they got to their house Louis looked at Niall "They obviously didn't put it plain sight look for anything that is unusual". "I'll take the bedroom you look in the kitchen" Niall replied. "K" Louis answered so when they got out of the car they ran upstairs Louis went into the kitchen they didn't even have time to wash the dishes so Louis went over to the counter and saw where Layla had put hers and Liam dishes in a neat little pile so she could do them later so Louis went over to see if there was anything left for him to find he picked up the cup that's had had orange juice in it this morning he smelled and it smelled like alcohol and so he picked up the other one yup, that one was spiked too so he took the cups into the bedroom where Niall was still searching. " find anything" Louis asked "not yet" Niall said "how about you" "Ya they spiked they're drinks this morning" held out the cups and Niall took one and smelled it "ugh Ya they did this shit smells awful" "exactly" Louis said "now where would they hide drugs cause it would have to be where the twins couldn't get it so since she doesn't carry a purse what is something that she brings her everywhere" "her wallet" Niall replied "oh Ya I forgot about that" so they searched the room "where the fuck is it" Louis said a little frustrated just then Niall went into the bathroom and on the vanity there was Layla's wallet that she took with her everywhere she went Niall turned to Louis "I can't do this you have to" he handed Louis the wallet "we aren't invading privacy we are saving their lives" Louis said as he started to open the wallet he looked through it for a few seconds and then he found a little bag of green colored pills "got it" he smiled at Niall "what is it" Niall asked "I don't know look through that cabinet to see if there is a bottle with green pills in it" "nothing " Niall said "There isn't any pills in here at all" Louis looked defeated. Then Niall noticed that there was a little opening on the soap it looked like a little drawer so Niall pulled on it and it opened and inside was a little bottle of pills "jackpot" Niall yelled scaring Louis they took the bottle to the hospital with them.

When they arrived the doctor was in the waiting room with everyone else and he was telling that Liam was starting to do better but Layla was still in pretty bad shape. They handed the pills to the doctor she looked confused "what is this" she said with a puzzled look " it's what they took this morning we think it is what is causing this to happen to them" Louis said handing her through bottle she read the front of it and it was all in Spanish so it looked weird "how can she read that" Hayley asked "she can't" Harry replied "she told us she doesn't know what is in that shit" the doctor called in a Spanish speaking nurse the nurse translated it for them she read the back it said not to combine alcohol with it because it could result in seizures, comas and death. "Omg they basically tried to kill themselves without even knowing it" Niall said "what are you talking about" Caroline asked confused "when we went back to your house to look for the pills I was in the kitchen and I picked up the glasses that they had drank out of this morning and they're oj was spiked it smelled full of alcohol" Louis said the doctors face changed "ok I'm going to take these and I'm going to help your friends" "ok" Harry said as she left the room he turned to Louis "you kept some of those pills right" Louis nodded "well let's see them" Harry said Louis handed him the little bag that they had found in Layla's wallet. Harry took the pills and held them up to the light "why are they green" he asked. "How am I supposed to no" Louis added "so you're saying that Layla is doing drugs and drinking alcohol at the same time" Caroline asked she never thought that Layla would go this low as to take drugs she knew that she drank before every show but the whole band did so it wasn't anything that wasn't normal. They didn't understand why Layla would need drugs too. Then the doctor came in the room...
