I watched anxiously as the clock ticked slower then usual. My mind kept drifting towards if Diviya was ok or did something happen to her, it was kind of annoying at how obsessed with her well being. I just met the chick, no stole the chick a day ago and yet I feel as if I know her.

The mark she gave me yesterday kept itching like crazy every time I wasn't near her, so that wasn't helping. I swear when I see her, I've got to ask her what she did. A few minutes passed and the bell rang.

I was walking Out of the class halls when to large arms held me back. Looking at the arms and the colour they were, the was no doubt that theybwere Relactionals aka lizard people arms. SHIT I inwardly cursed.

"Hissssss..hey Christine. Remember me." It spoke and by the sound of his voice it was Liezer. I remained quite.

"Oh not talking are you.. hisssssssss. Don't act dumb we know you can speaksss."

He walked to view and I swear he looked better in my head then now. He was coverd in scales with like a lizard mohog on his head. His eyes were like that of an alligator even his teeth were sharp. He had very larger hands and feet with a killer tail I'm litraly serious, he ranked second in combat after me.

"Nah I try not wasting my words on those who arnt worth it." I spoke calmly yet mockingly. I was in no mood for these bozos but the was a disadvantage. I could probably take 2 out but 4 that would be a problem.

His face turned sinister before I was hit in the abdomen. I nearly toppled over. "Not so strong are you." He then punched me again. Damn this freaking hurts. I tried breathing before he punched me on the face. It wasn't helping that they held on me so I couldn't fight back.

"Humans are so freaking weak, already bleeding after those harmless punches." He spoke in a sing song voice.

I gave out a short laugh and looked at him straight in the eyes. "Weak huh. You call me weak yet you've got one of your lackeys holding me in place. I'd think your afraid of this weak human." His smirk quickly vanished and then the assault began. They hit me till I couldn't see anything then they threw me on the hard floor. Landing knees first and body I passed out but not before hearing. "That's what you get for being human."

I jolted awake in my room and it was dark, what baffled me was that I was naked. I swear I had clothes on. When I looked to my left there was Diviya cuddled near my arm. What caught me off guard was she was naked too.

"Holy Shìt!" I leaped of the bed and she steered awake. She looked at me and a smile graced her lips.

"Your awake." She sttod up and the blanket that coverd her slid down showing her amazing assets.

"Why am I...and You... naked?" I was freaking the hell out. Did in just get laid and don't remember anything that happened. Damn I must be a dumb ass I'd that happened.

"I found you on the floor at school, your injuries were bad so I brought you home and healed you. I can only do that if you were in your natural state." She walked over to the pile of clothes and wore her blue pyjamas.

"Oh.." I found some boxera on the floor and quickly wore them.

"I must say, the human body is pretty complex." She spoke after looking at me. I felt heat rushing to my face, but I brushed it off.

"Yeah whatever." Once I said that, Lilly came rushing out the door in less then a second she hugged me tight.

"Daddy your ok." She spoke her voice sweet and gentle. I held her tight.

"Yeah I am. Where's Vanessa?" I asked and immediately when I said that. Lilly started sobbing. I carried her by my side and looked at her blood shot eyes. Diviya remaind quite her face also held sadness.

"Lilly what's wrong?" I asked this time as calmly as possible. She looked at me and tried speaking.

"Vanessa...daddy some men came...when You were hurt...they told Diviya that...that..She died...some experiment went wrong and...and She didn't survive." Lilly then buried her face in my shoulder. Her sobs where stifled by my neck.

I didn't know what to say. I couldn't cry so I just let Lilly sob on me. Why does everything bad happen to us. I inwardly sighed as I rocked Lilly gently back and forth.

"Daddy...promise you'll be with me forever." She whispered. I brushed her, hair back from her face and gave her a small peck on the forehead.

"I'll be there for you, forever Lilly I promise." She gave a swift smile before going back into my neck. I held her for a while until she fell asleep. I placed her on my bed, I couldn't put her in Vanessa's room. She'd end up sobbing if I did that.

I gave her a small kiss on the cheek and left her room. She's only a child and yet she keeps experiencing loss. I swear everything good always seems to skip us.

"Will she be fine?" Diviya asked. Her voice held concern.

"Yeah, she just needs sleep." I spoke nonchalantly.

"I'm sorry for your loss." She spoke and when I wanted to answer, she supprised me with a hug.

"Dont hold things inside. They built up into something horrible and then eat you alive. It wasn't your fault." She held me tight. My mind wanted her to let go of me but my body hugged her back. The sweet addictive smel, of roses hit my nose and I couldn't keep it together. I felt tears stroll down my cheek. I didn't hate Vanessa she was a great substitute for a mother but I do wish I had spoken to her. I wish I could have been a better person for her to care for and instead I turned out to be a failure.

I nuzzeld into her neck and for the first time in seven years I actually cried.
