Jason's pov
I knew it was a mistake for Carol to come out here. She's been complaining since we got here. And it doesn't help that the girls keep on pranking her! They put a lizard in her canteen and acted like there was a bees nest on her head. I can't help but laugh though cause their pranks are hilarious. "They were just goofing sweetheart." I say that night laying beside her. "No it's clear they don't like me!" She says, crossing her arms. I sigh and sit by the fire. I'm having second thoughts about marrying her. I wish Miranda didn't weasel her way out of coming. But she's always been like that. Sneaky.
*the next day*
Sierra's pov
Me and Rachel sneakily get Carol's blow up mattress in the river. I can't stop laughing watching her float down the water. Then we both sneak back to our tents and pretend to be asleep.
Jason's pov
"JASON!!!" I hear my name screamed. I sit up quickly caught off guard, woken up out of a deep sleep. I run out of the tent and see Carol soaking wet and furious. I bust out laughing. "W-What hap-happened!?" I gasp, trying to catch my breath. She swats me in the head. "Sorry honey. You gotta learn to laugh at yourself." "Your conniving little demons did this to me!" She screams, pointing at the girls' tent. I sigh. They come out. "What's going on?" Rachel asks. I cross my arms glaring at them. "Don't act innocent girls, I know it was you." "Aww we didn't do it!" Sierra says, waving her hand. "I'm not stupid kiddo. You learned pranking from me. I know an Aldean prank when I see it. Both girls start laughing. "When we get home you're going with that bitch back to England and you're going to a fucking boarding school on the other side of the country!" Carol yells. Sierra and Rachel's eyes go wide. My jaw drops. "No they aren't!" I shout angrily hugging my daughters. "And Miranda isn't a bitch!" Carol crosses her arms. "Jason, it's either me or them!" She says. I look at my twins and my fiancé. "Them." I say instantly. Her eyes go wide. "What?" "Them. In a damned heartbeat. I don't think my ex wife is the bitch I think my fiancé is and I'd never pick a girl over my children." She's fuming. She takes off her ring and flings it at me. It hits me in the forehead and I catch it. "Good riddance you bastard! I only said yes anyway for the money factor!" She yells, stomping off. Screw her. "Um dad, she's going the wrong way." Sierra says. I smile. "I know." I say. Both girls smile. "Good fucking riddance." I grumble pocketing the ring. I hear her scream in annoyance. "Let's go home girls."
*later*
"I'm glad you got rid of her. She was no good for you, Jason. She didn't deserve you." Alice says, patting my shoulder. I sigh. Rachel walks downstairs bags packed. Sierra hugs her tight. "I'm gonna miss you." She says. Sierra starts crying. "Don't forget me." She whimpers. "Come on Rachel. We're gonna miss the plane." Miranda says. I sigh, wishing she'd stay. I hug Rachel perhaps for the last time and they go to the airport.
