Chapter 2

The loud crack of Skyler's skull hitting the tiles did not discourage me. I proceeded to pin her weak, frail arms under my knees, and sat on her chest. I raised one of my clenched fists and brought it down hard down on the square of her face. I heard a sickening crunch.
Looks like I broke her nose.
I wanted to hurt her, seeing red I ignore her whimpers and the way her eyes looked at me with fear. Blood spelt out of Skylers nose like a flood.

Seemed I was better being in the offence position later then defence.

I went to bring my fist down again, but before that could occur, I felt two strong, masculine hands grip me under my arms a heave me up. Then proceed to throw me over their shoulder.

Mildly confused for the time being, all I could see was the ass in my face.
I try to kick my legs half-hearty, but they were pinned by the large hands.

Twist my head around and see the back of a blonde head.
I started flailing my arms wildly in panic, twisting and turning my body, squirming.

"Hey!" I hollered.
"Let me go, you lunatic! Let me finish her off!"

"You've done enough damage for today."

I decide to shut up for the time being, and save my energy for when he eventually puts me down. Biting my lip I waited patiently as he proceeded to walk into the theatre. I took deep laboratory breathes as an attempt to calm myself. Although it felt like my heart was beating a mile at minute.

The worn out rows upon rows of seats caught my attention immediately  as Luke Hemmings plopped my body into one of the dusty chairs, it creaked under my weight.

Fuck.

Still standing, the long legged boy glanced at me dully, arms crossed, blue eyes cold and closed off.

Curiously I examined him, why in the hell did he do that? That bitch deserved what she got. Although I do admit I had freaked out a tad, I will defend my friends honour, I only have so many of them.  I felt like Alice was all I had.

Sick of the silence, I spoke up,"So are you going to tell me why you brought me here anytime soon? Or are you just going to keep looking at me like I'm a freak of nature?"

Muscled arms still crossed, the blonde boy shifted on his feet and gave me a calculated stare.

"Self control. Learn it Juliette." Was all he said, his voice deep.
"Clean up your own messes, if I hadn't showed up you'd be in a way worse situation. Make sure to cover of that bruise on you face better if you're trying to be inconspicuous."

I covered my bruise bashfully I had received earlier from Michael with my calloused palm, suddenly self-conscious. Before heading to class, I had taken the time to jog to the bathroom and hastily cake the devolving bruise in concealer.

"Mind your own god damn business, Lucas."

The young man growled lowly, span on his heel and stomped out of the theatre, leaving the scent of peppermint in his wake.

Sighing, bitterly, I strode out the room and decided to skip the rest of the day
cause fuck it. I was fed up, tired and hungry.
Trudging threw the school hallways, I texted Alice

Juliette: where u at?

Alice responded immediately.

Alice: history, Mrs. Williams is being a grumpy old hag. Fuckin raising hell.

I gave a light chuckle, sighed, and shook my head ruefully.

Continuing to look down at my phone, a muscular chest suddenly slammed into my small frame. My went phone flying out of my hands, and I landed on my tush. I yelped loudly. Groaning I flopped down on my back, my hair scattering over my face like a curtain.

"Oh my Lord, I'm so sincerely sorry!"
I peaked threw my messy mane to see a lanky boy, with a pair of hazel, panicked eyes, thick framed glasses and a mess of caramel curls bent over me.

"Are you okay?! Oh heaven have mercy-"

"I'm perfectly-"

"Oh my if I had put you in any serious danger. "

He grabbed my flushed cheeks with his soft, clammy hands and examined me throughly. He picked me up and planted me on my feet with ease. He ran those hands over my shoulders and down my arms till they gripped my wrists sweetly.
"You don't seem to be in any physical harm, but I am true fully sorry, my dear."

"Really it's not a big de-"

Before I could finish my sentence I was rudely interrupted by the pounding of sneaker clad feet against the laminate floors. I peered behind Ashton's hunched shoulder, on the tips of my toes, and spotted a familiar, tanned, athletic boy. Hunched over the public water fountain, gulping down the chilled liquid eagerly.

Feeling eyes on him, Calum hood raised his head and winked cheekily.
Standing up straight once again, the sun kissed boy strolled over to us casually.

"We'll look at you two!" Calum stated as planted himself beside me.

Ashton let go of me and glanced up at Calum shyly, "You're Calum hood right? Your in my English class," he stuttered.

"Indeed I am, Sunshine." Calum smirked, brown eyes devious. "Pleased to meet you officially."

Ashton, looking slightly skittish, slowing extended his shaking hand in greeting.
Calum's smirk widened viscously, as their eyes locked and hands finally clasped.
