3rd person POV
Since James told Ray to leave him alone that is exactly what she did, it worried him greatly to see his sister with such hatred towards him. Of course he didn't truly mean what he said, it was the heat of the moment. Even though James was so hostile towards Ray he did love her, she was his little sister after all. Except she wasn't, he had told her she wasn't his family, that he didn't want her.
Almost two weeks after James said those things he apologised, courtesy of Remus forcing his ego to take a big blow but she didn't accept it. James was acting extremely nice to Ray just to show her he wanted his sister back but she knew it was just an act. That once she accepted him he would treat her just like the Slytherin she was.
And now it was time to go home for Christmas Break but Ray wasn't going home. She was staying with Regulus until Christmas and then she would stay with Xenophilius until they went back to Hogwarts. Bart had offered her his house but she didn't want to burden his family (She also didn't want to be with his stuck up father).Ray really should have been packing but instead she laid on Regulus bed with Bobby on her stomach, waiting for Regulus to finish telling her about what he got for his family. So far he'd gotten Sirius some top of the line shampoo and conditioner and a bright pink hair brush. He got his mother a lovely black necklace with a emerald jewel. He got his father a silver arm watch that was charmed to change to whatever time it was wherever he was. Ray told him that she had saved to get James a new broom but instead bought Regulus two gifts, and instead of buying her parents gifts she got Bart and Phil gifts.
"Are you ready?" Reggie asked, holding a medium sized suitcase and his wand.
"Yeah let me just go pack up!" Ray snickered, standing and walking with Reggie to her dorm. She despised the girls in her room, they spread gossip and rumours and was much too annoying for Ray's taste.
"You're the Queen of Procrastination!" Reggie jumped on her bed after laying his things down. Bobby, who had perched himself on Ray's shoulder jumped bravely onto Reggie's stomach. Ray shrugged in agreement, she did procrastinate much to often. She used her wand to bring out her leather suitcase charmed to hold more (similar to Newt Scamander's), her clothes, and her gifts simultaneously.
After quickly and neatly packing her things she swung her leather messenger bag across her chest and placed Bobby inside. She put on a large black peacoat over her white Christmas sweater, a knitted dark green beanie from Mrs. Lovegood with a grey R on the side, a black scarf, blue jeans with a mini black skirt over, and normal converse.
She grabbed her suitcase and kicked Regulus leg to get his attention."Let's go Reg", she nudged him more as he groaned about his leg, he stood up and grabbed his things again. They left together, walking towards the group of students waiting to leave. Ray spotted James searching the crowd and looked down, getting closer to Regulus.
"Ray! Darling, there you are!" James ran to her side, he flipped a hand through his hair as his sister glared at him angrily. She went to push him aside but Regulus held her hand, giving her the look.
"What do you want James?" She furred her eyebrows together and scrunched up her nose. James sighed and went to place his hand on her shoulder but she stepped back. His hand fell back to his side.
"Raymond I told you I didn't mean it. I was just angry you would defend your friends and not me, your family!" James voice raised. Ray squeezed Reggie's hand tight, she was warning Regulus that if she didn't leave James now she would blow up in his face, literally. Regulus could already feel her hands heating up and the snow falling down melting instantly at her touch.
