Chapter 1: Friends

Bree's POV~

Welcome back! It's still the same Bree here.

Anyways.. I was just recently informed that there was going to be a dance this Saturday!

I mean.. pfff silly dance, nobody's going anyways.. Oh who am I kidding. I'll admit that I'm just a tad excited.

Meh, it's not like anyone is going to ask me, oh well there's nothing wrong with going with your friends..

Back to reality.. We just took a test in math that will affect half our grade, so I'm kind of nervous.
But then again I knew everything in the test so I probably aced it.

Bell rings

Ugh, off to science class.

Bree runs towards class but she bumps into someone

"Hey! What's your prob- woah.."

Standing in front of me was what I thought was a wall..

Must of been a very attractive wall.

After I took a long look, I noticed he was my neighbor Mason.

Oh how I wish he would notice me.

His silky black hair, and his eyes were like shining silver...and his smile, oh his smile...

Jackson's POV~

I was walking out of science, although I was running a bit behind because the teacher held me back for a "talk".

But hey! It's not my fault I accidentally threw that sick paper airplane across the class..

It would have gone in the trash can if Ms. Dobb's head wasn't in the way!

Anyways, I tried going fast so I wouldn't miss my class, but I was stopped by something, gosh I couldn't contain myself.

The way her soft glistening brown hair fell down her shoulders and her eyes.. a perfect cocoa brown.

Her face quickly turned red and I'm pretty sure mine did too..

I couldn't help it!

I looked down at her and managed to choke out a nervous laugh.

"Hi", I said nervously, while scratching the back of my neck.

I'm such a doof.

Mari's POV~

My stomach sank. My heart stopped. I felt my breathing go slower.

Am I crushing on a stranger?

Come on, snap out of it Bree! I just started school! I can't like anyone yet!

I shakily took a breath and murmured, "H-Hi.."

"Um.. Aren't you Mari?" He knows my name?! "Y-Yeah! I am! W-Whats your name?"

"jackson." "jackson.." I breathed, staring into space.

Bell Rings

"I'm late!!" I shrieked, rushing towards my class.

I had been so entranced by Mason, I didn't even notice that the hallways were completely empty!

"Bye?" I jumped, "O-Oh! B-Bye!" I yelled back, nearly running into a wall.

I am so smart, aren't I?! I'm going to be late and I barely even started school!

I pulled at the handle, locked.

Noooo!! I hung my head in shame. "No.." I whimpered.

I watched the teacher walk to the door with a frown on his face.

He opened the door and said, "Come in, Miss Smith." the frown not faltering.

"You're late."
