Adrianna

I quickly arrive to the house and I take a seat on the kitchen table, thinking about what I just learned. I ran my hands through my hair and let out a long breath. My father killed my mother and my mother was a part of the rebellion. If my mother had followed the rebellion's plan, I would've never been born. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Maybe if my mother had chosen another man to father her child I would've had a better life. Or maybe if my father had never found out about my mother, would I still be the person I am today? As I think I slowly start to doze off...

"I-I wasn't doing anything." I hear my mother say. I peek through the door to see my mother and my father in an argument.

"Don't lie to me. Why were you going through my drawers?" My father said. I accidentally lean to much on the door and I fall into the room.

"Sweetheart, go to your room." my mother says.

"But-"

"GO TO YOUR ROOM!" my father yells, interrupting me. I run out of the room but once I'm out of the room I stay close to the door.

"You know there's rumor about a rebellion going on in my ranks, you wouldn't happen to know anything about that?" my father asks.

*Ring*

I'm taken out of my dream as my phone rings. I groan and I look at the caller ID. It was Josh.

"Hello?" I said, my voice thick with sleep.

"Hey, where are you?" I look at the clock and it's 9:30pm. S**t.

"God I'm sorry, I fell asleep." I said.

"I was getting worried. I thought that you didn't-"

"No!" I said quickly. "It's not that. I just had a long day. Can you come over now?"

"Is everything okay?" Josh asked, worry clear in his voice.

"Yeah, I just had my mind on some things. Come over." I said.

"I'll be there in ten." Josh said happily. We said our goodbyes and I hung up. As I hung up, I noticed that I was still in my yoga pants and sweatshirt. I walked upstairs and into my room to change.

I looked through my drawers and I found a white T-shirt, and black skinny jeans. I looked at the time and I saw that five minutes have passed. Oh god, my hair. I quickly went into my bathroom and I started to brush my hair. I decided to leave it down and I started to look for some make-up.

Ding-dong

I stopped looking for make-up and I sighed as I realized this is the best I can do. I headed downstairs and I opened the door.

I almost dropped my jaw in awe as I saw Josh. He was wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans, and he looked incredible in them. He was also holding a bouquet of beautiful lilies. My favorite flower.

"Hi." Josh said nervously, waiting for my reaction.

"Josh they're beautiful, how did you know lilies were my favorite?" I said, taking the flowers from him.

"I didn't. I just thought you would like them. I didn't want to get you roses because they were pretty cliché and I thought that-" I kissed Josh, interrupting him on his nervous rambling.

"I love them." I said softly, my lips still against Josh's.

"Thank God." Josh sighed.

"Come in." I said, stepping aside so Josh could come in.
