Harry's POV :

I watched as Charlie walked away, 'I cannot wait to prove you wrong' . She can't prove me wrong, because Vanessa isn't part of this.

Why won't she just accept that?

"Do you want me to talk to her?" Vanessa asked, walking up beside me. I just sighed.

"No, let her calm down first" I replied, I gave her a smile before we made our way over to the rest.

"You know what. Let's grab a coffee instead" She said, smiling up at me. I nodded my head

"Alright"

We made a right and headed to Starbucks since it wasn't far from the school at all.

"So have you heard from Dustin lately?" She asked, taking the hot up in her hands.

"No actually, it's been a long time.. I stopped hearing from him when Acacia got here" I replied.. Saying it out loud, feels a lot different then keeping it in.

"Oh, weird.." She muttered, I nodded my head.

"yeah.. you know, something is really bothering me that I need to tell you about."

"Anything" She smiled at me, waiting for me to reply..

Why does Charlotte hate her so much?

"I went to your house and your mum answered the door.." I started as we stepped outside "Why did you lie to me about your parents going on a trip?" I asked. Her words froze.

"I didn't lie to you"

"Your mum said they never left.."

"She did?" She's either telling the truth.. Or she's a great actress.

"Yeah.. Since then Charlotte is convinced you're up to something" I replied, chuckling in the process.

"What do you mean?" She was fast to answer. Then I remembered, Vanessa doesn't know that Charlotte knows about the deal.

"I dunno, she's convinced you want her dead" I joked, she let out a nervous laugh before we continued our way back to school.

Charlotte's POV :

"Zayn! Can I talk to you?" I asked, grabbing him right at the lunch bell. Harry had to stay in English to finish a project, and I hadn't seen Perrie around.

"yeah, what's up?" He asked, I just grabbed his arm and yanked him behind the stairs where it would be private.

"Do you swear to tell the whole truth, nothing but the truth?"

"What are you talking about?"

"Look. I know something that I shouldn't know, but I need you to know because all my friends aren't' here anymore and Harry is just so stubborn so I need you to listen to me!" He just furrowed his brows at me.

"Okay?"

"I know about Harry's deal with Dustin." His eyes widened and he dragged me outside, where nobody was.

"How do you know that?"

"Harry told me." He just groaned . "Don't freak out, we're pulling it off"

"What do you need, then?"

"In honest opinion, what do you think about Vanessa? I'm not just asking because I hate her. I need to know I'm not the only one who's sketchy about her" I said. He sighed before scratching the back of his neck.

"Yeah.. Perrie and I have noticed something's off with her." He replied, this made me feel so much better.

"Like the lying, and even what happened with Acacia this morning?" I asked. He nodded his head.

"Yeah."

"Look, I'm going to bust her one way or another, I feel positive she has something to do with this deal, I don't know why, but I think she is. "

"What are you asking me, Char?"

"I'm asking you to help me! Harry won't because his head is so far up her ass it's stupid! Please, I can do this if you will help me!" I was almost begging at his feet.

"Why not Lou?"

"He's to close to Harry"

"Wait, you're not telling Harry?"

"Of course not, he'll talk me out of it."

"Char..."

"Please Zayn! I know I can get her." Silence. "Please"

"Fine."

In Last Block Of School :

"Charlotte, help Vanessa please" Mr. Haverstock said, I sighed before grabbing my math book and going to where she was.

I have no fucking clue where Harry is, he's in this class. But not here.

"What are you stuck on?" I asked, playing as nice as I could.

"Number 7.. Can I ask you something though?"

"Sure.."

"Harry told me, you think I'm plotting your death" She joked, but this made me upset that Harry was talking about me with her.

"Oh"

"Charlotte.. I have nothing against you, I want us to be close, Harry's my best friend and I know you mean a lot to him, I wouldn't want to come between you guys."

Liar.

"Then what was Acacia talking about, this morning?" I asked, dropping my pencil. At that exact time, Harry walked in, not looking happy. He sat next to me and listened into our conversation.

"I told you, I have no idea what she was going off about"

"Vanessa, I wasn't born yesterday. You guys clearly had something going on-"

"Charlotte, stop" Harry cut in, putting a hand on me. I looked at him with nothing but hurt in my eyes. But something was different with him too..

"Can I talk to you in the halls.. please?" I asked. He nodded his head before we snuck out of the classroom.

"The questions need to stop.. Now." He said, looking to the ground.

"What's wrong? You're acting weird."

"I just paid a visit with Dustin.. He's getting suspicious.. So please, keep it on low key."

"You don't find it weird that he gets a funny feeling after you tell your little friend I think she's planning my death?" I hissed quietly to him.

"How many times do I need to tell you, leave Vanessa out of this! Trust me-"

"No! You trust me! This whole time I've been relying on you, but now you need to trust me." I cut him off.

"You're not getting it Char,."

"Please stop." I whimpered. He gave me pleading eyes. "How come every time it comes down to this, you're always sticking up for her?" I asked, I could feel my eyes watering.

"It's not like that.. "

"Then what is it? Because I feel like I'm not being protecting when the villain that's with you everyday."

Silence.

"You know what, schools almost over.. I'm just gonna go home, I'll talk to you later." I mumbled, before walking by him but he was sure to grab my wrist.

"Don't fall apart now, Char. I need you."

"Yeah well, Vanessa seems to need you too"
