~~~~~~Jaime's POV~~~~~~~
I sat clutching the letter from Malachi in my hands, How did he know who my dad is, where to find him. I thought he died when he left us 7 years ago. Oliver was asleep on the ground next to me, making soft sounds as he tossed and turned. I was on watch for about another 20 minutes, which I found very relaxing.
I heard some shuffling in a bush a few feet away, I pulled out a knife and walked over to it expecting a tall brain dead I was instead greeting by a small child brain dead, its small body walking over to me, I didn't look as I killed the child not wanting to show emotion towards a brain dead. When I went to see if I killed the child or not, I realized she had the same face as me, the only difference was her face was smashed in, and mine wasn't..yet. I was surprised to feel tears stinging my eyes as I forced myself to look away. I turned when I heard my name being called.
"Jamie?" Came a groggy voice around the tree from where I was at.
"I'm over here Oliver." I yelled back as I snuck a final glance at the child that looked so much like me. I felt a chill cut through me like a knife as I slowly walked back to Oliver.
"JAIME." Oliver called again, more frantic this time, his voice seemed to die down.
"Oliver?" I called running over only to see Malachi standing over his body. He laughed maniacally as he offered the fatal stab to Oliver's body. I screamed as Malachi pulled out a gun and aimed it at me.
"Shame I have to kill you Jaime." He said "You're beautiful, just like your mom....was" He laughed before pulling the trigger.
I woke screaming. "Jaime? Are you okay? I'm right here."Said Oliver leaning over and wrapping me in a hug as I calmed down in his shoulder.
"Tell me what happened." he said still cradling me. I took a deep breath and I told him. He was smirking after I told him.
"Why the fuck are you smiling?" I asked, wiping off the excess tears on my face.
"Because you were scared to lose me." he replied, wiggling his eyebrows.
I didn't know what to do, so naturally I did the first thing that came into my mind, and I launched myself at him.
I knew I caught him by surprise, because he tensed as I kissed him, At first I thought he didn't feel that way, but he responded to the kiss wrapping his arms around me and deepening the kiss. I didn't realize I was scared to lose him until that dream.Not in a relationship but I didn't want to be alone. He laid me down and pulled away, hovering over me.
"What?" I whispered, readjusting my position on the floor of the forest, until his lips reattached with mine. They were soft, even though It was almost winter. He pulled away and frowned. Upset we didn't get to finish until I heard the growls of a herd of Brain dead's. He moved off me and headed towards the weapon bag as I moved to my arrows and bow.
"Up the tree!" I called over to him as I started climbing up. I felt a hand grip my ass , I turned only to see Oliver look at me cheekily, I smirked at him and continued to climb up the tree until reached a good spot and i notched an arrow and aimed it at one of the brain dead's nailing it in the face. I heard a gunshot behind me as I Oliver nailed one in the face. We ended up finishing them off right as the sun was rising overhead.
"I think we got them all." I said releasing my final arrow into the last brain dead. I climbed down the tree to collect all my arrows.
"Hey." said Oliver calling over.
"Yeah?"
"We're almost out of food."
I felt my stomach drop. without food or ammo, we're screwed. "we need to find some then. We should probably set a trap to catch some animals."
"Yeah, that's a good idea. Maybe a village?" he said unsure.
"Sounds good" I said slipping my backpack on my back along with my arrows around my waist, I wiped off my knife on my pants. "Ready?" I asked Oliver as he did the same as me. Slipping his gun in the waistband of his jeans.
~~~~~Oliver's POV~~~~~

"Jaimeeeee. Can we stop walking, it's been forever." I whined.

"Oliver. We're literally only ten feet away from where we began." she said, irritation lacing her voice.

"Ughhhhhhhh"

"You're so whiny." She said turning to look at me. She looked good. Even though she had biter gunk all over her, she still looked great. I reached out and grabbed around her waist, pulling her into me. I began trailing kisses down her neck.

"Oliver." she whispered as I continued the trail. "Not here. Not now."

I placed a final kiss on her lips and pulled away from her, lacing my fingers in her's as we continued to walk down the path to look for a place to stay.

~~~~~Special 3rd person view~~~~~
I watched them through the trees. Kissing each other like fools. If only they knew how truly difficult it would be to make it through this alive. Malachi and I have ensured that. If he knew that his offspring was smart enough to get to them and find a way to stop him, that his, no our, plan would be ruined. That couldn't happen. We have found a way to stop the apocalypse from getting out of hand. But that was a matter of time. Slipping into the shadows again, I leave Malachi's child and the other one to deal with the herd we kept in the distance specifically for the two 'lovebirds' This will be good.
~~~~~~~Jaime's POV~~~~~~~~~

"Do you hear that?" I asked coming to a stop, pulling Oliver's hand back causing him to stumble.

"No, what is it?"

"Shhhh listen." I said pulling my gun out of my waistband. It sounded like walking in the distance. Branches were snapping as well as the sound of guns being cocked. "Oliver." I whispered "This sounds bad, very bad."

He wasn't listening seeing as he already had his gun out and was aiming it at something unseen. He started walking towards the sound. I heard a branch snap behind me as someone brought down the butt of a gun on my head, causing me to black out. I barely had to time to make a sound.

~~~~~Oliver's POV~~~~~~~
"Hey Jaime, I think it's clear up ahead." I called over my shoulder as I sheathed my gun in the waistband of my jeans. "Jaime? Where'd ya go?"
I heard a branch snap as I turned just in time to see someone swing at me. I ducked and my attacker hit his hand on a stump. It was just light enough to see his face but dark enough that i couldn't make out his features. We continued to throw punches until one of us was on the ground bleeding. That person,for once, wasn't me. I grabbed him by the skuff of his shirt and pulled his face to mine. "Where is the girl I was with?" I asked angrily. He groaned in response and pointed behind me. I turned only to be terrified by what I saw. Jaime, tied up, slung over some guys shoulder like a sack of potatoes being raised up on a horse and sped off through the forest. I looked at the man in my grasp again.
"Where are they taking her." I asked. I didn't realize they still had suicide pills, but this bastard took one right after he muttered his last words.
"Malachi."
