The first four periods of school we're boring an un-eventful, although this new guy was in every class of mine. He sat in the book almost always opposite me. He never made any intention of wanting to speak to me, so I pretended not to notice him. When lunch time came around I was relived though, I can finally spend time with my best friend; even though it's only twenty-five minutes.
"Have you spoke to him yet Hazel?" Steph asked as we sat down.
"No, but he's in all the same clases as me so far" I don't really want to talk abou this anymore. I have a chicken and lettuce sandwhich waiting for me. "He's what?," Steph nearly spits her drink out "And you're only just telling me this now? What kind of friend are you?" She jokes, well I hope she's joking.
"Tell me, when have I been able to talk to you? I haven't seen you all day"
"Um hello! You have a phone, you havee fingers you could've just text me"
Oh yeah, I forgot that I could've just texted. But then I really couldn't because he was sitting across the isle in basically every class. "Well, I could've but he would've seen because well, um, he was sitting across the isle in every class"
He face just dropped. Here we go "Um, seriously? I'm really trying to contain myself for our own benefit but oh my god, you're luckly" She was contained, I guess today is full of suprises because here comes Mr Perfect.
"Don't freak Steph, but I think he's heading over this way" I say quietly.
"Where?" She yells and turns around. Far out, how embarrasing can she be? "I said don't freak Steph!"
He really was coming over to our table, he stops at the chair next to me "Is anyone using this chair?" Oh that's all it was for. I guess I shouldn't really be disspointed no-one ever sits with us, but I don't know why I feel so dissapointed, I mean he is gorgeous yeah, but i've not talked to him yet?
"No, take it" I say not looking up at him. But he doesn't move the chair away. You'd never believe what he does, he- he sits down, next to me! Oh my god! I look at him as if to say you really shouldn't sit here if he wants a social life.
"Hazel isn't it?" He asked. Oh he was talking to me, whoops!
"Oh yes sorry, and this is Steph" I jerk my head over to Steph
"Yes, we met yesterday, even invited me to sit here, which of course i'm taking you up on. I need osme friends in this school," I snort "What did I say something wrong?" He looked confused.
"No, but we're not particually the first choice of friends in this school, we're more like the last choice actually. If you want friends wait until stacy and Cleo come back" I say
"Who are Stacy and Cleo?"
"This two most popular, prettiest and perfect girls that go to this school"
"Oh, i see; what does that make you than?"
"Like I said, we're not popular, infact we have a reputation" Steph looks at me as if to say, stop. But you know what? If he think he wants to sit with us, then he should know who people at this school really reguard us. He looks at me expectantly "What that your a witch?"
"How do you know? Has someone already told you?"
He looks like he's having an internal debate weather to say something or not. "Yes, i've been told, but I assure you, I don't think you are"
The next few minutes are silent, but it's not an awkward silence; in fact i'm quite comfortable with him next to me. Everyone in the lunch room can't seem to stop looking at me. I mean they usually look at me because you know, it's me but there's something different about it. They don't even notice Steph sitting here too, just me and -. I don't even know this guys name.
"Whats your name,?" I blurt out "Oh god, i'm sorry, that came out really bad ha-ha. But I never did catch your name?" I smile, god I could be rude sometimes.
"I never gave you my name, dear. It's Landon"
That is so hot! oh my god, his name is Landom. A hot name for a hot man. We sat there talking, but we sort of left Steph out. After lunch I had creative writing "Hey Steph, what do you have?" I asked. "P.E but don't wait up for me, my brother is picking me up. I have to help him look good for his date on Friday"
"Dan has a date? Good on him! Is it with that blond?" She giggles.
"God no, some brunette he met through a friend apparently," she smiles "Well i don't want to be late for Mrs. Mikol so i'm going to go, have fun babe!" She gets up and leaves.
"What do you have Hazel?" Landon asked. "Creative Writing, you?" He laughs "Looks life we have every subject together, Hazel"
"Look's like we do" how cliche.
In class I heading straight up the back in my usual seat and plonk myself down. Landon follows and sits right next to me. We get a few weird looks but he just shurgs them off like they're nothing. Maybe I should do the same?
We talk through the whole lesson and when the bell goes it feels like we've known each other forever. We spoke about our parents and families and where we've lived. When I asked him the places he has lived in this was his response 'Well my family are basiclly nomads and i've never spent for then six months in the same place. So i've lived in Texas, New York, Vegas, France, Italy, Rome, Argentina, Brazil, Germany and Australia"
I've always wanted to go to Australia. I want to walk on the Harbour Bridge and go inside the Opera house or even so see that big rock, Uluru I think they call it. Their accents are so hot too! "I've always wanted to go to Australia"
"It's beautiful there and the people are they most laid back! I'll take you one day"
It was seriously a beautiful moment. So we we're walking out of the room "How are you getting home Hazel?" He asked.
"I usually walk home with Steph but since she's going with her brother, I guess i'm walking by myself"
"Well than, this gives me the perfect and appropiate reason to drive you home"
"You'd seriously do that?," he nods, "thank you"
We walk to his car. He own a black SUV, wow! He opens up my door and lets me in. Once he's in the drivers side he looks at me and says "Ready?" I nod.
