Jesse's POV
I walked back to my dorm after Aster left since I didn't want to deal with anyone for a while. Once I arrived my monsters attempted to cheer me up but to no avail, so they decided to leave me alone, which is what I've been wanting this whole time. Someone knocked frantically on my door, though I tried to ignore it, they just seemed to not understand that I wanted to be alone. I wiped my tears and walked to the door, but as soon as I did I was tackled into a hug by both Jim and surprisingly Axel.
"We know you want to be alone Jess, but we're worried about you." Before I can speak, they dragged me to my couch as Jim continued. "What happened in the Dark World?"
I looked down at Karen, whose tail was wrapped around my leg in comfort. "Yubel got into my head once everyone returned with Rainbow Dragon. She said many awful things to me to the point that I just gave up, but my beasts and Jaden called my name with woke me up from my depressed coma." Tears flowed down my cheeks once again as both of my friends tried to comfort me.
"What happened to between you two?" Axel asked softly. "Syrus said something about a kiss, but that's it." I sighed as I wiped my tears and begun to tell them what happened.
~Flashback~
Darkness. That's all I saw. That's all I felt. Why can't anyone save me from this awful nightmare?
"He doesn't love you. You're just a nuisance to him." Yubel's words kept repeating over and over again.
"...sse!" What was that?
"Jesse please! Answer us!" Jaden? Is that you?
"Jesse!" I heard them. My Crystal Beasts along with Jaden. I woke up and stood up as I looked for the source of the voices. "Jaden?" Suddenly an attack by Rainbow Dragon snapped me out of the darkness back into my body."
"Jesse!" I opened my eyes slowly as I looked up to see him gazing at me with his deep chocolate eyes.
"Jaden? What happened?" Before he could answer, Yubel played her final attack on us, which caused Jaden to push me out of the way. He was straddling my waist as he turned back to the demon who challenged him to a duel above the clouds.
"You're going. Aren't you?" He looked at me and nodded, but before he could make a move I held him down as I shift my body to a sitting position with him still on me."Before you leave can I tell you something?"
"What's wrong? Are you okay?" His frantic movement to search for any injuries made him shift around a bit which wasn't the best idea seeing that he was rubbing a bit on my crotch. 'Shit.' I bit my lip in an attempt to keep me from making any sort of noise.
"Jaden I know this isn't the best time, but I can't hold it any longer." I looked at him directly in his innocent looking eyes. "Yubel said things. Awful things that I can't just let go without knowing the truth. I know I've only known you for a month, but since our first meeting I just couldn't stay away. There is something I must tell you while I have the courage." He tilted his head in confusion. "I love you Jaden." Before he had the chance to respond I kissed him, but as soon as I was pulling away he deepened the kiss.
Our lips fit like a puzzle as we moved them in sync. I licked his bottom lip for entry, which he did, and begun to explore his sweet mouth making him moan softly. Soon we parted as we looked at each other out of breath."Jaden?"
He leaned forward and wrapped me in a soft embrace. "I love you too Jesse." He pulled away with a sad smile. "But this duel will end the issue between me and Yubel."
"Fair enough."I placed a simple kiss on his lips and handed him my deck before he stood up. "Take them with you in my place."
Jaden nodded then looked at Professor Crowler and motioned him over. "Take care of Jesse." He nodded and sat beside me. We watched as my family and Jaden leave above the clouds with Syrus following.
"He'll be fine Jesse. He is Jaden after all." He patted my back as we watched the duel from below.
~End of Flashback~
"Everything doubt I had disappeared with our kiss. I just..." I couldn't continue as I cried harder. Jim pulled me toward his chest and Axel rubbed my back as they allowed me to let it all out. After thirty minutes I ended up passing out not knowing what happened after.
The next day everyone in the academy gathered in the large classroom to watch Aster's first tournament of the year.
During the first 3 duels with Aster, Alexis noticed something off. "He looks distracted. Look at his eyes." It was true. I don't know if everyone else knew what he felt, but I could tell he couldn't focus because of Zane.
He was soon dueling in the finals, but he had no monsters on the field as his opponent declared a direct attack. "Oh no!" I saw Syrus from the corner of my eye leaning on Chazz covering his face as he saw the attack hurdling towards Aster.
"Trap Card Open! Imperial Manners!" He was still in the game and soon he brought his strongest monster on the field winning the duel. Everyone applauded as he walked out the arena with fake smile and a wave to the audience.
We heard someone mentioned Zane's name and everyone, even the paparazzi, became silent as tears quietly fell from his sapphire eyes. He left to a room quietly with Sartorius following.
Our group, and Professor Crowler, once again cried as the room stayed silent mourning the loss of our friends. We heard the paparazzi asking questions after a few minutes and we all looked to see Aster walking away from the arena into a helicopter.
"Sartorius where is your client heading off to?" One of the interviewers asked him.
He turned to the one asking him the question and gave a soft smile. "Back to Academia. He's going to take this year off." Everyone soon started asking questions as he himself walked away.
We smiled as they turned of the screen and the Chancellor walked on the stage. "Aster will be in the the Blue Dorms along with our new permanent transfers." He motioned to Jim, Axel and I. "They will continue on here at our school as last years."
We soon heard a helicopter and everyone ran outside to see Aster sky-surfing. Once he landed he looked at us with a smile. "I'm back." He said this in a singing way as we group hugged him.
"Crikey. We spent all day watching the tournament. Jim joked as we looked at the sky. "We should grab a feed." His Australian accent was thicker than normal.
Everyone agreed and began to walk to the cafeteria, but soon two things shot out the sky. One shot towards the woods and the other towards the beach. Me and Aster shared a look before we turned to the others. "Syrus, Chazz and Atticus. Follow Aster the beach." They nodded and ran off as I turned to the others. "Alexis, Hassleberry, Jim and Axel. Follow me to the woods."
"What about us?" Blair and Martin asked at the same time.
"Just stay here. We'll be right back." We ran the opposite direction from the others as we ran towards the mysterious object, but what we saw when we arrived was something we weren't expecting.
"Jaden?"
