Aster's POV
The next morning, everyone came to celebrate the guys release and Mrs. Fontaine came to check on Zane's condition. She gave the news that his condition has disappeared, which the Kaiser tried to hide his tears of joy from all of his friends and ended up being tackled by me, Atticus and his brother. Once released, all of us headed to the Red Dorms and the guys were amazed to see a surprise party waiting for them. We ended up chilling, dueling, and talking all day up until nightfall.
"Talk." Jesse and I cornered both our lovers in Jaden's dorm once everyone left in an attempt to understand what happened to them. Jaden gave a nervous laugh while Zane kept his gaze to the floor. I looked at them when I realized, "Did something bad happen?"
"Zane wasn't suppose to be alive. I'm sorry Aster."
"What do you mean Jay?" Jesse asked. "Jay?"
"He did die." Tears begun to form when he said that and I turned to Zane to see him trying to keep his emotionless gaze in check. "And I fused with Yubel."
"What?" Jesse backed away. "Why?"
"She deserved to be happy and fusing with her ended her suffering, but I promise she's not evil. Yubel was angry and assumed that I sent her away because I didn't want her, but after clearing everything she reverted back to her protective nature." To prove that he was telling us the truth, his eyes changed to a green and orange color before changing them back. "She took over Jess because of my feelings." He turned to his lover. "She wanted you gone, but when we sent you back I told her I loved her."
"You can't love two." Jesse's voice was dangerously low and I literally had to side-step to get away from that vibe.
Jaden wiped his tears as he slowly walked away from Zane and towards the upset bluenette. "I know." He wrapped his arms around Jesse who was refusing to look at him. "I do love her, but like a motherly figure. Jesse, I love you and I will only love you."
I saw the Scandinavian's eyes widen slightly and soon they softened as he wrapped his around Jaden. "I love you too." With that said, he gently kissed the brunette.
As they kissed I looked at Zane who looked like he wanted to breakdown. "Jaden." I turned to my friend. "What do you mean by die?"
When they broke apart the brunette looked at him as well. "Yubel said everyone was sent back except Echo, Adrian, Zane and I. When I asked she said a curse from Exodia was placed and that the two would never return so we couldn't help them, but Zane died of his heart condition. It failed during Yubel and Zane's duel and I pleaded to her to help me bring him back. For days we tried all of her powers, but none were helping, soon Yubel discovered the only way for him to revive is if he wanted to live."
My gaze stayed on my lover as I tugged softly on his jacket. "Zane? Zane please look up and tell us what happened." I kept calling to him but he refused to meet my gaze. "Zane please." I pleaded, when I noticed tears run down his cheek.
"A voice kept repeating in my head saying I didn't deserve to live and that I didn't deserve those I called friends." I lifted his chin to look at his eyes which were red with tears. "I begun to agree with the voice and I assumed you would be better off without me Aster. That you would be able to find someone better than me to love you."
"Y-you. You." I begun to cry as I tried to get the words out of my mouth, but couldn't. I fell to my knees as I covered my face while crying.
I felt arms wrap around me and looked to see Zane also on the ground holding on to me. "Aster. I just thought you could find someone better than me and I ended up doubting myself."
"You're an idiot." I let myself cry and felt tears on my shoulder as Zane continued to cry as well.
"I know. I snapped out of those thoughts when Jaden called out to me and helped me remember why I wanted to live." He pulled away and looked as me with a small smile. "I wanted to see you again, to hold you, and to tell you I love you."
I smiled widely at that comment. "I love you too." He placed a simple kiss on my lips and stood up while helping me up to my feet.
"Hey guys, let's go back to the our dorms." Jesse motioned for us to follow. "Jaden I want you to stay with me at my dorm okay?"
"Sure, but why?" Jaden asked.
"You really think I want us to be separate again?" He gave a bright smile which Jaden nodded and grabbed his hand.
I turned to Zane. "Hey since you have no dorm or guest room, your going to stay with me in my new dorm."
"When did you get a dorm?"
"Well since I'm off the Pro-Leagues for the rest of the year and I'm already a student here, Chancellor Sheppard assigned me a permanent room along with the transfers." I looked to see Jesse up ahead whispering something at the blessings brunette and picking him up bridal style, which made me smile softly at their antics. "They decided to stay here permanently."
Zane wrapped an arm around my waist and pulled me closer as we continued walking. "Then yea I'll stay with you. Besides." He ended up carrying me bridal style like Jesse did and whispered seductively in my ear. "We still need to finish what we started in the other dimension." I went bright red and nodded as all four of us returned to the Blue Dorm.
